Hello everyone. I am just wondering if the new Revel 40 Ford Coupe is out and whether someone has detailed pictures of the kit. Also, does anyone know if this kit is different from the GoodGuys version? Thanks

My first model was also a 69 Camaro a few years ago. Too bad it's no longer with us. I accidentally stepped on it... Next time I will not be putting models on the floor in the room that I sometimes walk through with lights off....

That's a VERY nice first build. How many models went into this Camaro? Rims appear to be from a Revell Charger and the engine possibly from Revell Corvette C3. Good job, I likey

Has anyone ever built one of these in colors other than orange? For some reason I cannot imagine it. I was planing to build mine in metal flake red, but not sure what it would look like.

"Organic vapour/acid gas cartridge" What does this mean? "at least 99.97 filtration efficiency against solid and liquid aerosals including oils" Is this what I need for painting? "For workplace occupational applications only" Can anyone explain this to me? It's intended for use with acid gas/organic vapor, for disinfecting livestock buildings, chlorine, hydrogen chloride, sulphur dioxide, and particulates and is recommended for mold, lead, and coating/sealant sprays http://3mgasmask.blo...3dha1-c-3m.html Doesn't mention paint at all. Should I return it and get another one, or does this seem okay for painting?

Thanks for the insightful information. What is urethane by the way? And also how dangerous are lacquer paint thinners if used to thin enamel paint? Another thing, is enamel harmful when brush painted as well or only when sprayed? I also use disposable masks, but after reading all this will try to get a real respirator with filters. Thank you everyone for your responses.

Could you suggest any good ones that are not terribly expensive? Maybe with a picture if that's not too much to ask.

Looks like getting a proper respirator is a good idea. Up until now I have been using those cheap ones that don't have a proper filter or anything.

Is painting with garage door open a good idea?

I just read the label on some of my duplicolor paints and it got me thinking. How dangerous are these paints? On engine enamel paint it says any sort of contact with the paint, including inhaling vapours, can cause health problems. Does anyone have any experience with health issues caused by paint? I usually wear goggles, hoodie, and some sort of mask, but on one of the paints it says I have to use a mask approved by some organization (forgot exactly, guessing one of the government organizations). How important are these industry-strenght raspirators? I usually paint in my garage and sometimes the smell of the paint goes into the house. Is this a big problem? Thanks EDIT: How about glasses? Are air tight safety glasses/goggles required? I usually use regular safety glasses to protect me from mist. Just got myself air tight goggles for painting and they conflict with my respirator so I'm not sure if I want to use them. How important is it to use them?
