  1. Is there a 1:25 scale source for "Continental Kits" be they kitted or resin cast?
  2. Awesome and outstanding...thanks for the info. :-)
  3. Speaking of photo-etched parts is there a photo etched Cadillac set out there? Would love to get the "Cadillac" script as a photo-etched part.
  4. Thanks for all the guidance, leads and suggestions everyone.

    eldorado.

A gorgeous, well-executed build! Not to mention a Jo-han `67 Cadillac Eldorado it is a very rare kit to come across nowadays.
  6. Planning a project and was just curious if the Art Deco style "Flying Lady" hood ornaments have ever appeared in a kit.
  7. Thanks for the lead Deano...look forward to seeing the post.
  8. The Revell `59 Cadillac Eldorado kitI looks interesting and I`ve been thinking about acquiring one. I was wondering if anyone has built this Caddy kit. If so can you give us an overview of how well it went together and how the finished kit looks?
  9. Yep, I have experienced the same thing and when I finally got the page back up my message was still there. I was greatly relived because I didn't want to retype the whole thin over gain.
  10. Thanks for the suggestion jjsipes and sjordan2..
  11. SBK That looks like an interesting way to resolve the issue. Thanks for sharing that technique.
  12. A Revell `69 Camaro hardtop.
  13. Your post prompeted me to look at the AMT `63 Vette I have in my stash. It is one of those kits that AMT recently re-poped . It appears AMT opted not to cast the tow bar as well as all the other goodies that appear in the instruction page you posted.
  14. Was just curious if there were any kitted or resin '60 thru '70 era tow bars out there. In the day folks would hook there race car to the back of their daily driver and tow their track car to the strip.
  15. Yep, Mr Obsessive I was that one also, it kinda close but not exactly on point. I think I`ll shot an e-mail to Matthew at Scale Motorsports inquiring if they have a hoodstooth upholstery decal sheet.
  16. A truly outstanding job...very nice 4-4-2.
  17. Thank you for the correction Harry...darn computers "auto correct" changed it.
  18. Is there anyone offering a "HOODSTOOTH" pattern decal?
  19. Looking really good..keep us posted on the project.
  20. I clear coat over my bare metal foil to protect it and to help it stay where I want it. Wouldn't the clear coat do the same with the tape (provided its adhered properly from the start)?
  21. I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to do the thin chrome trim around fender wells, roof-line rain gutters, side window trim etc. Foiling front and rear windshield frames can be challenging depending of the vehicle. But, the truth of the matter is generally fend well, rail gutter, side window etc. trim is so thin and has so many curves, twist and turns that attempting to Bare Metal Foil them can quickly turn a nice paint job into a disaster with the slip of the Xacto blade. There has to be some method that is easier and less hazardous to a freshly finished paint job. I though about using 1/16 inch Chartpak graphic tape. It comes in a "chrome/silver" finish. And, it creates a thin, precisely spaced line. It will stick well, it will conform somewhat to the curves and turns and more importantly it will not ruin your paint job when you make a mistake. Has anyone tried this and if so how did it turn out? Any and all suggestions are welcomed. Thanks in advance.
  22. 1972Coronet, genuinely thank you for the lead.
