  1. Thanks Ben I will get a hold of you when I start the rebuilds.
  2. Yeah I was researching cabs for KWs and none of them all the way back look like that. So I am thinking a 40's pickup conversion or a B61 Cab with the front grafted on.
  3. I am sorry for how I worded that. I meant the 1:1 trucks when I said a few trucks had the body. I do have a White road boss race truck (not sure if one of the four haulers I have is for that truck) and it's a circle track truck or road race? I also have a ford hauler with Bud signage with a funny car. These two pics you can see the yellow and black White race truck: Here are three of the haulers. I believe the white one is the bud truck and of course the Super Boss, Hide out Truck and Papa Truck and the yellow one I think is for the White since I don't see any other race cars:
  4. So more work on the parts. Shaved all the flash off the parts. Also cut the hood in half in prep for hinging it. I had to shave about an 1/8" of resin from the hood so it was closer to scale width. Also shaved the pedals off the floor since I plan to use the ones from the DM800. The winch is going on the front and then I shaved brackets into the air starter tank and hydraulic tank since the excess resin was about the perfect size. I am going to shave the pillow and bedding off the bunk and cut the wall between the seats and bunk out and then make the bed flush with the floor since my design has no bunk in it just flat floor.
  5. A few other trucks were built with the body so I wouldn't think it is a patented item.
  6. I plan to rebuild these rigs later on this year and also cast some of the pieces. My question is, is there any discrepencies in these kits compared to the one to one's? Also fitment issues and such? They are going to be rebuilds so I think I will detail them out as much as possible since it is not like they are in the box originals.
  7. I will Kevin. I think when I do these since they are a rebuild I will try and detail them out as much as possible.
  8. Can someone tell me what the vintage KWhopper in the front is? More info? Never seen it before.
  9. Yeah I will show the rebuild in the truck section but it will be down the road. I need to get hackin on the post appocolyptic B87 Mack I am building. I also got the Bandag Bandit and both papa trucks to match so maybe I will do them all at the same time. Look for it sometime after October.
  10. Final post here since this is for the post appocolyptic build. Just thought I would show you what I did. So if you want to watch the build check it out up top in community builds. OK so now the front has been trimmed, cut off the the hood and shaved the fenders. Realized I almost burned through one but stopped before doing so so it can be fixed. Still need to trim more resin out of the hood area and then cut it in half to hinge it. I chewed up the B87 cab mor then I had hoped so I am gonna cut the doors out of it so I can hinge them on the sleeper cab. yes I ground down thw brackets at the back of the fender so they look better.
  11. I wish I had a better camera but I was looking for a visor so hopefully I find one.

The top pic is supposed to be where I burned through.
  13. I have got my Dad's Tyrone Malone Super Boss kit (needs rebuilt anyhow) and tore it completely apart down to the last pieces. I plan to take all the intake tubing, turbos and intake box and most other parts besides the block and casting them all to use on a rig I am building.SO if any of you casters out there would like to get my casings or the parts afterwards to borrow for this purpose shoot me a PM. I plan to rebuild the Super Boss and paint on all the stripes. I suppose too if any other parts would interest casters (say the drag slicks) I can furnish those too. I have all the pieces and took it apart as gently as possible but there are parts of the wing and stuff that broke off prior so I need to fab new ones. I think I am going to build a couple of my own race trucks. But will need to cast the body pieces.
  14. Anybody got any ideas on how to make the lever style door handles? Or where I may be able to get them? I have also got my Dad's Tyrone Malone Super Boss kit (needs rebuilt anyhow) and tore it completely apart down to the last pieces. I plan to take all the intake tubing, turbos and intake box and most other parts besides the block and casting them all to use on this rig. I plan to rebuild the Super Boss and paint on all the stripes. Does anyone have the rest of the decals for the truck with the writing and such?
  15. This is what I am working twards on my 93 Chevy FS Blazer. Solid Black, a little bright stuff and HD bumpers and rocker guards. Also a Supercharged 383 stroker under the hood. No carbs because it is direct port FI which I need to design a SC that is set up that way. And it will be a tribute to our soldiers since I am a weekend warrior myself. The hood design will change to a soldier kneeling in front of a battlefield cross. I am also throwing around the idea of putting the ribbons for all the wars we have had in the last 100 years on the rear windows.
  16. Here is where the truck is now. Waiting on windows and front axle. The paint is Krylon Hunter Green and Gloss Black. The stripes were taped off and all chrome is now black for a sinister look. The only paint defect is the top corner on the sleeper is rubbed to the primer but I am going to leave it for now because it took a week to paint and get it to where it is. I glossed it with testors gloss. Repainted the sleeper roof three times. I will probably just set the cab on it so I can repaint it down the road. Enjoy. The kitty is painted Chrysler Yellow which looks close to CAT yellow but slightly lighter.
  17. Yeah I decided to go the route of cutting the hood. I was surprised that th 12v fits perfect under the hood. The rig I am building is for (as much as I hate zombie ######) the post appocolyptic build up in the community builds but I assure you more B models are yet to come and I want to build a regular B87 with sleeper and 12v. I needed the integral sleeper because of the design. Here is the preview I did on sketchup. The rig itself is well kept by it's driver so it will look sharp as hell. I designed the driver (Rhiannon) a few years back and this is the rig I came up with: Anybody got a suggestion for the aircleaners? They are off an MRAP.
  18. Alright so small update. Been workin away on the cabs. I am slowly but surely cutting my way through the hood of the B87 and I sanded all the unessesary flash and cast stuff from the B61. I also opened up the rear window on the B61. I also found out with my design I did on sketchup and with the new parts for the chassis the chassis needs a 1.5" extension to get it to the right length.
  19. OK so this is what I got in the mail today from Dave over at AITM. Thanks Dave. So what I am trying to accomplish is making a B87 with a sleeper for a truck I am building. Dave sent me the two cabs as seen in the pic. Would it be easier to cut the front clip off the B87 and put it on the B81 cab or cut the back half of the cab off the B87 and graft the sleeper onto it?
  20. I got a permagrin today. Look what I got. Can finally get around to accomplishing something. I also brought my Dad's Tyrone Malone Boss Truck and tore it completely apart last night. It came apart amazingly easy. Now to the reason I did this. I am going to cast some of the parts on the 12v71 for the one going it this truck. I plan to cast the superchargers with the intake hats and the tubing and twin turbos and intake box on it. So I guess it is time for some trial and error casting since I have never done it. Wish me luck. WIll post good update pics soon since I got me front drive axle and all the pieces to the chassis except rims and tires now.
  21. I was just about to say it looks like a farmer from ND must have owned it then I saw the signage. They use more grain trailers then cattle trailers up this way though. Good Job.
  22. OOOhhhh........those will work for my 51 Chevy wrecker. I'll have to get a set. Not exactly what I wanted but they would work.
  23. Finally, had to wait on a check from the VA. My cab and such is on its way from AITM. Get you an update when I recieve it.
  24. That might work. Good luck.
  25. It looks good but lengthen the door a bit more. Say 2-4 inches and see how that looks. Check out a Beretta side profile and proportion it out like that.
