  1. i think one of these would be boss! make up your own speed parts & paint job. definitely in a class of its own!
  2. i'm going with these ones. no matter how good a build looks, if i can't picture a driver fitting behind the steering wheel, all bets are off.
  3. did this crane ever get modified? i have one i'd like to schmaltz up a bit. thanks
  4. has the Attempt 1 ever been re-released?
  5. as one applies these lenses, how do you keep the lines parallel to the ground and each other?
  6. these ones are preety shwoopie: http://theflyingtortoise.blogspot.co.nz/2013/03/beautiful-elegant-and-unusual-cars.html
  7. thanks. swamp cooler is a nice touch!
  8. thanks (and for the wheels info in the surf ride post, too)
  9. i like all the artillery on the intake. is that 2 slingshot manifolds? don't forget to feed the meter!
  10. nice job. where the wheels from?
  11. isn't there a thread featuring the Mormon Meteor? maybe Ma's Resin in production? thanks for that link (see next post)
  12. nice job. was the "inspection door" a common thing with these cars? i've never heard of it.
  13. i like those wheels. could you share their origin?
  14. then what would hold the grilles and glass in?
  15. who could ever have the hours in a day to be a forum moderator? never mind do a good job at it. don't they have to read and pass judgement on all the posts? maybe i don't understand how it really works. but i would last about 30 seconds before tossing in the towel. anybody a member of Pirate 4X4? that group sort of moderates itself ....
  16. it's a classic.
  17. i agree. building a model car is exactly like having an organ transplant.
  18. .... the masses don't know any better?.... this fits a myriad of situations. i like to go out for a steak once in a while, but do not want to know all the parts of the cow!
  19. the question about column shifters came into my head again, so i searched this thread. since the Ace offered, could we agree that an early '50s rod could sport a '3 on the tree' ? and be plausibly "correct"? i'll be using the excellent picture to cobble together my linkage. how i get it to the stering wheel is anybody's guess!
  20. thanks; this is also helpful to me. i wish R&M would print a picture copy of the catalog - even charge more for it. it would be a great reference and bestseller.
  21. it was quite an "in your face" design in it's time. since car have gotten smaller and smaller since the late 60's it's hard to remember just how long and wide Detroit iron really was. ever stand next to a 1960 Pontiac Bonneville? like an aircraft carrier!
  22. is a Columbia rear end applicable to a spirited street ride? my understanding is that it, and early Ford Ruckstell rear end modifications were to give the vehicle and overdrive capability.
