  1. I have those as well, they go great with my lift... http://www.diecastmodelswholesale.com/battery-operated-two-post-auto-lift-for-1-24-scale-diecast-model-cars/ This is the 2-post version, and they now have the car park lift platform and the 2-post with the crossbeam. These are battery operated and lift and lower with the flick of a switch. Set the tools around it and you have the makings of a great diorama!
  2. Believe it or not... THAT ACTUALLY COMES ON THE DECAL SHEET! I loved putting that one on... and I wish more model kits had bumper sticker decals like that on their sheets.
  3. Sharp car!
  4. Another kit I'm going to have to get. Beautiful car!
  5. I've done a few models in Nassau Blue. It's such a clean-looking color and a great shade of blue. Nice!
  6. NICE WORK, DUDE!!!!
  7. Actually, that's a 3-stage paint scheme. I was trying for a pearlescent color-changing purple and found out I was using the wrong base color (Tamiya Silver Leaf) to make it work. So I misted Tamiya Gold onto it followed by a few mists of Tamiya Metallic Black to try and darken it up, and it came out looking like "snakeskin", what my wife ended up calling it. Thanks for the comments everyone!
  8. Thanks again! Yup, I need to get some clear red for those, haven't had the time to run out for it yet (also need more BMF).
  9. I love this kit. It builds up great... Nice work, and love the color!
  10. Thanks everyone!
  11. I've been using ziploc gallon bags but sorting through tons of strips and fragments for that one decal is a pain. Think I'll need to check this out. These books are not using glue to hold the clear sheets to the page, right?
  12. Another good source of clear plastic is from blister packs used to hold action figures and toy cars. The newer acetate bubbles don't yellow with age like the older cardbacks used to. I collect Hot Wheels and always open my card blisters to handle my cars, so I cut apart the flat sides of the bubbles for replacement clear windows.
  13. A few more detail shots... Thanks for looking!
  14. Non-flash pix...
  15. Just completed. Despite some fitment issues, a good build.
  16. Last updates of the evening... Future applied to car after detailing the rear end... And WOW. Had to add sheet styrene because of the interior sliding around inside the car, the front fenders are bowed in causing fitment issues with the nose of the car, and other fun stuff. Fortunately I think I fixed them all well enough to look good for now. I still have the front whalebone to put on, front bumper guards to paint, front plate to attach (somewhere... maybe...), and Future applied to the hood and front nose, but it's almost completed.
  17. Kammback Firebird and Camaro Sportwagons.
  18. Gramma and Aunt Peg as such sadists.....
  19. This one.... HURTS... my brains. I cannot even BEGIN to figure out where to start with that one. Gott im Himmel...
  20. BMF applied on body... Extra engine bay detail added... And decals applied. Body will soon get its dip in Future to seal everything up... (EDIT: decal is not crooked, I need to burnish it with Micro Set one more time!) Better shot.... Bumper guards and reverse tail lights next.
  21. BMF for heatshield. Incredible. I never thought of that. And it could also be wrapped around intake pipes. Excelsior!
  22. Finished the interior and engine bay.... Now on to the BMF and detailing of the body.
  23. It's like looking at pix of a real car. INCREDIBLE detailing!
  24. I was going to say the mole wasn't real... But yes, that's her. She's got a few of her matches on Youtube, she does "managering" for a local wrestling card in Norfolk, VA, and she does a radio show as well. Look for Gremlina GLOW on Google and the 'Tube.
