    As you get more into modeling and scaling I use scale app called scale calculator. Or use contractors calculator from wall Mart, it the yellow one in hardware.

    The red one is PVC. The blue one is pill bottle. Those took a some work. Need help let me know.

    I have used PVC with flat sheet for ends. Also pill bottles. There O,D will be a tad larger or smaller depending on the size you are looking for. With a little work they can look better than the kit tanks at times.

    2 revell can do and amt,from a parts box,it is a mix of amt and revell.
