Spent the weekend working on this. I used the low boy for a base and the rest is from flat sheet. Rite now the landing leg's are the hold up,trying to get them even and working is the hard part and my head hurts as well.
I have got to get mine going again,,, all most done till I dropped it just about had it done over then A 8 year old got a hold of it,Honk honk move out the way( it broke can you fix it)
Looks great.
I use the polishing systems for 1:1 headlights too.if the glass is too bad may have to start off wet sanding with 1000+ and go up from there. Also I use it too buff the paint as well have too use care because it will rub the paint off the nut's,bolts and rivets.
ahhh thats what I thought. I would love too see how you did that. I posted some photos of the new Pitts trailers in the 1:1 files(logging trailers I think there under).
got the photos, there in the 1:1 page{logging and reefer trailers. These are the left side.I kinda know now the how to's. I the KFS has the door locks don't know about the hinges, haven't been on his site in some time.

You dreaming,,,,,,, there is a old trailer about a block from the house what year and make don't know but maybe you can get a idea,I'll get a photos of the hinges. In fact I went trailer hunting yesterday and left the camera as home.
Hey bin! you think the 5/8 flange would work as a cab door hinge?I cut the door out on a 377 last year/Winter and door hinges have been the hold up ever since.
I know what your talking about.I have not seen the cables in some time now,the new trailers use steal plates to hold the up rites.
I need too look around too,I think there is a yard not far from here and I'm fixing to leave so I stop by.What are the cables use for? too hold the up rite polls or does one remove the cables and let the polls fall down for a fast unloading?
You make me sick,Great job you are doing.I been won'ting to do the lights as well never had the courage too or did not think it would look good.I got one I won't to rebuild this winter maybe I'll try it. Great job.
And why is that??? I live in the South ours don't look that way. At one time the Phone company used something like a poll trailer, you know I haven't see those in some time as well.
fenders, and make a plate under the frame fore the lights. make it as wide of the frame ,cut the lower corners at a 45. then out line it with the marker lights. Lets say 2 or 3 down each side one on each corner(45) 2 or 3 alone the bottom. Then brake/turn lights on the inside of them( upper and lower and tag in the center.I don't have one too show.hope you get the idea. Wish I did last week when I was working on the snap KW.
You make the drive line/shaft the way I do using tubing and cutting the kit shaft in half. The u joint that is a new idea too me.Off hand I would think The short shaft between the 2 driver's I think it will be covered by the 5th wheel plate so as is maybe OK . the long drive shaft, try doing a mock up and go from there.
did you look on the 1:1 page? I was looking last week I think there's a photos that give you some idea of the fenders. Makeing the hood and grill is not all that hard it's the fenders that are give me a hard time.
