  1. Glade to see you finish this one Mike it came out looking great with all the work you had to put into it.
  2. Thanks Carl and Tom. I'm calling this one now finished. I added the heater hoses and battery cables fixed the washer bottle and added the PE emblems. Applying the PE Plymouth letters like this was a first for me I used a piece of tape to get the spacing and keep them straight. The roof rack is now glued on. Thanks for all the support and suggestions comments while I was building this one. Here's a picture of it finished I'm going to post more pictures in Under Glass.
  3. Nice work on the fuel line I feel your pain when you undo something that you have already spent a lot of time getting just right. Nice plane also a lot of the guys in our model club build planes.
  4. Tom great progress the green looks good keep up the effort on this project I look for your progress everyday here.
  5. Received the new bumper and have started on the final assembly. I have some work to adjust the rear bumper and the windshield washer bottle is hold the hood up so I need to lower it. I'm going to see if I can finish this one up tomorrow here are some update pictures. And this will be where I plan to display it in the future currently my next build.
  6. Nice progress update Joe. The wheels and wires look good.
  7. Thanks JT I'm going to go with about a 4' extension on the back. Hessel thanks yes the Mitsuwa/Fujimi kit is a nice kit so far the trailer has fit together with out any problems. The only thing that I've been working on to figure out is the front top section of the trailer where it is in the lowered position instead of the raised. I'm going to change it to the raised location
  8. I built one of these when I was a kid many years ago. It's a cool kit. What color are you going to use?
  9. Started cutting today on the front section of the trailer to lower it even with the bottom section. Currently the trailer is 42 1/2' long and I will need to add about 4' more to be able to get 3 American cars in the bottom section. I'm not sure if I should add it to the center section or to the rear section behind the wheels. I'm thinking behind the wheels will be better. Stated on the cab frame and will checking to see if that will need to be lengthen too.
  10. Nice progress update Joe. I like your idea of the engine holder.
  11. Joe good start on the wires I find that if I'm using any wire looms to install all of them first and then start bending the wires from the distributor to the plugs.
  12. Another great build JT.
  13. Thanks Stan just received notice that the new rear bumper is now shipping!! Should be able to finish this one up this week end.
  14. Joe I was looking for your evening progress pictures lol. I'll check in the morning.
  15. Steve nice scratch built mirror it's going to make a difference when you get it finished.
  16. Terry great set of builds you have going on here. Looking forward to seeing more!
  17. JT I've got 2 weeks off over Christmas and plan a lot of hours on the bench working on this one.
  18. Thanks for all the encouragement on my project I have 2 weeks off work for the Christmas holiday and plan on getting a lot of work done on this durn that time. Chuck as for the Fuso I'm not sure at this time. If I decide I don't want it I'll let you know. I'm going to go with a red with white stripes on this one. Not sure on the color for the frame yet either black or red?
  19. I've been checking out the trailer and I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to get the 6 cars to fit on the trailer as my 68 MOPARs are big long cars so we will see how many I will be able to get in it.
  20. Good build JT I always thought the original trailer looked a little short. Are you going to leave the stone dust on it I think it adds to it?
  21. Here is my reference picture of my project. I've picked up the AITM Dodge L -1000 day cab and will use the White Frightliner as my donor. I've drilled the holes in the AMT car hauler ramps that I plan to use for supporting the car over the cab. Just received the Fujimi car transporter that I plan to modify from a true 5th wheel to a lower trailer attachment the goal I have is to have 6 cars in the trailer and 3 on the cab. I have enought factory stock 1968 Mopars to fill it up. I will be be getting started on this project next week end.
  22. Jonathan once I get the chassis glued to the body I will add the heater, radiator hoses and the battery cables. I'm waiting for the bumper to make sure everything fits up properly.
  23. Tom nice progress on your 1/2 dozen assembley. As a suggestion on the other part of your project instead of using the Titan you may want to consider using the AITM GMC 9500 it would make it the truck the same year date as the cars and for a cool looking set up. Just an idea.
  24. Thanks Charlie, green was my other color I thought about using. When are you planning on building your wagon? Do you know what model trim level you are going to go with?
