  1. Thanks for the magnet idea Bill but with the way that this fits together I think I will not need to use any. In between friction and gravity I think it’s going to work at least that’s the way it looks now.
  2. I’ve got the center section of the load deck together and have made some more progress on the disconnect parts. Still have more work to do on it.
  3. Thanks Jeff Thanks Brian Thanks Carl Thanks KJ Thanks Tom I’ll keep the updates coming I’m trying to have it finished for the Modelmania show on April 30th.
  4. One more little detail added some mesh for tool storage. Still have a couple more little items to finish with and then I’m done.
  5. Amazing details Tom. Have you thought about maybe putting a electric motor in side of the diesel and have it set up to raise and lower your ??
  6. Continues to keep getting better Tom. Do you know what your going to use for the cables?
  7. Another awesome progress update Tom.
  8. Very nice looking Transtar Alex
  9. Thanks James Thanks Bill . I’ll do my best to keep it interesting Thanks Stace I’ve sent you the link for Dorsey Thanks Gary Thanks Dave Thanks Mitch. I was 46 when I started back building and yeah I know what you mean about how things have changed.
  10. I agree with Brian or you could also use the decals in the new reissue Transtar it has a white and a darker blue strip that would go with what you have.
  11. I use clear plastic that Hobby Lobby sells in the model section. It’s very thin and easy to cut plus it goes around bends
  12. James the Frightliner SD and DD make a good donor for the Dodge cab. I picked up a tip years ago here on the site about fitting the glass in these resin cabs. Use something like a Dremel to grind on the inside of the cab windows a little lip this allows for the glass to be closer to the outside seeing how the resin is thick on these cabs. There was someone else here that had the same problem with the Blue Mule decals.
  13. This will be my second Detachable Lowboy I’ve picked up from Stace (wabatuckeun1). I’m going to have this one behind the Brockway I’ve just finished up so myself colors are sublime green with yellow trim. I’m going to change this one with a Dorsey type goose neck/ disconnect. While I was waiting on my trailer to arrive I started on the goose neck section that disconnects from the trailer. I still need to attach the hydraulic cylinders and the back adjustable supports plus the eye hooks. I’ve also ordered a B&S engine for the pup engine. As always your comments and recommendations are always welcome.
  14. Nice James I’ve built 4 of Dodge cabs what kits are your frames from?
  15. Thanks Jacob. Just started working on the trailer for it.
  16. Awesome build Ken. Those colors and paint scheme are perfect for this truck.
  17. Coming along nicely Johnny
  18. Jeff I’ve got my popcorn ready for this one!
  19. Dave a 24 x 40 would be cool to. My heavy haul rig is 5’ long.
