  1. I’ve started working on the dump body and almost finished with it now. Also worked on the front grill adding a little chrome to it. I’m going to have to redo the hood sections. Thanks everyone for your comments I appreciate them.

  4. I’ve been doing some more spray painting. I had some issues with the black paint staying on the resin parts. I must not of removed all the mold release. After stripping and repainting I’m good now. Working on the clear coats. Besides that I’ve finished the interior and starting on the dump body.

  6. Thanks Ken I’ve got the Mack and International mixers in my stash and I’m thinking about doing a Mack DM 600 steel hood with the Challenge mixer.

  9. Thanks Jeff. Yes I moved the axles in about a 1/4” to close up the big gap. I did the same with my other one to.
  10. Wow there’s a lot of little details with converting the DM to a R type. I believe your right that it may of been easier to start with the R first.
  11. I’ve been working on the engine and spraying the cab yellow. Also just a little mock up with the dump body from the other Mack

You know I live in a new housing development that is still being built out and I’ve seen a lot of cement mixer’s where some are kept very clean and then there’s the ones that you wonder how they still run. I think some of it is how the company is run and how the drivers/operators use the truck and keep it clean.

  19. Pretty much finished with the frame and wheels for now. I’ve ordered some new tires for the rear from Moluminum. I’m also using front floatation tires I picked up on eBay. Here’s my mock up pictures.

  21. Thanks Stephen. Actually this one is about a ten year in the working seeing that I build the red and blue Challenger’s about ten years or more ago. Lol.

  23. Bill that’s going to a excellent display with the wing warriors on it. I see why you needed the extra length now. Those winged cars are long with their nose pieces.
