  1. wow if you did'nt say it was scratch built i would have thought i was looking at a real trailer. and that pete is awesome.
  2. the mack museum is in macungie pennslyvania.
  3. hey kurt thats a really nice build alot of detail. i like the pennsy inspection sticker aswell as the weight class and the ifta stickers. where did you get those? i live in the keystone too. and would'nt mind having a set of those. if you're making them i have some general parts to trade.
  4. it would turn with no problem if it was a quad steer or if you were able to lift one or two of those axles when you turn. the tractor i drive automaticly lifts the axle when you put the turn signal on. just in case i forget to lift it.
  5. i like the driver of this truck's reading material. very nice kw
  6. not all macks had maxidynes and camel back suspentions macks that had all mack components where nicknamed pedigres.but mack also sold gliderkits. which were just cab and chassies. the customer could put what ever componets they wanted in it. they where nicknamed mutts. so yes you can have a mack with air ride. and any motor you want. i think the duck had a cummins in it.
  7. what about the vw tractor trailer on page4? that looked cool.
  8. hello craig i also live in pa. i remember the woolworths and kmarts too.the kiddie cities used to carry alot of model truck kits. do you remember those?
  9. i always wondered what motor the real duck actually had in it. in one scene when its comming down the road through the desert. it sounds like it has a detroit. then another scene is at nite. when he's in that park or rest area. he starts the truck and it sounds like a cummins. does anybody know what motor was in it?
  10. hey jamie your talbert looks great. if you deciede to cast those trailers let me know. i would'nt mind having one or two of those.
  11. i found it at napa auto parts. i think summit racing sells it too.
  12. hessel i put some pictures in the 1;1 section of the ones i pull there under detachable gooseneck. as far as the us detachables there basicly hydralics and pins the hydralics run off a pto on the tractor and some trailers had what you call a pony motor mounted on them to run the hydralics.the pony motor was basicly a small motor like a 3 or 4 HP. mounted right on the goose neck. if you need some specific pictures let me know. i'll take them monday.
  13. mack B model or international emeryville. but just about any truck would make me happy.
  14. can you imagine driving that through new york city.hey dennis i put some pictures of a beam and a lowboy that i pull around in the 1;1 section under detachable gooseneck. if you do hook it to a beam or a lowboy.i would be more than happy to take more pictures if you needed them. and that is an awsome build.
  15. thats taking model building to a whole new level. what kind of power did they use in that pete?
  16. i saw a couple of B model pickups at the macungie truck show last year here in pa. i talked to one of the owners and he said its a kit you can buy. their pretty pricey. 25,000 if i remember correctly. his was on a dodge chassie. they also sell a kw and peterbilt kit. i think thier way cool too. but i'm thinking a lonestar pickup.
  17. it was commen to see B73s with cummins power. as far as the trans. alot of them had a triplex in them which means you'll have to put two sticks in the interior. the rear suspention would be a camelback. which can be found in any mack kit.theres plenty of aftermarket places that carry that suspention.i'll be visiting afreind of mine this weekend he had a B73 with a 220 cummins in it i'll see if he has any pictures.the interior would have been light green. some mack dealers still carry the color in rattle cans.
  18. did the 12v71 have two blowers on it. i think thats the same engine they used in the older euclids.
  19. thanks for the help just opened a photobucket account. i must admit i'am not the brightest bulb in the box when it comes to computers.

  22. hello sixx. i haul heavy equipment for the company i work for. if i could help in any way let me know.tomorow i will have a cat zero radius 308 on my trailer.i could take some pictures and get some specs if you want. i do have a picture of a volvo 330 sitting on a beam trailer but it don't show to much of the track ho. the picture is more of the truck i drive. but we have every thing from a skidsteer to a milling machine.
