  1. This is what I brought home on Sunday from my trade with Randy (prostockmania), nearly every box is full of parts (pretty much everything besides body parts & glass). There's more in all the cardboard boxes (all but the HP Deskjet Printer box). There are a few bagged complete kits and he even tossed in a few GM promo cars. I will be sorting through everything because it is way too much for me to ever use in my lifetime so if you're looking for chassis/engines/tires/suspension, etc from the kits pictured shoot me a PM. I will be more than happy to trade whatever you need if I have it
  2. I will be there for sure, found a little more info on it here: http://www.oldride.com/events/8958726.html
  3. looks good, I just stripped the paint from one I've had for awhile, trying to figure out what new color to go with LOL. These make a nice replica of the Beretta, I kinda wish someone made a Corsica conversion kit but that's one that will never happen. The convt. resin body shows up once in a blue moon on ebay, keep your eyes open
  4. I'm not quite sure about that since I've never read the book(s) or watched the movie. I can ask my boyfriend though, since he has. All I know is that the poster was originally created to help boost the spirits of the British people during WWII and it's recently been turned into yet another Internet meme with numerous parodies. It reminds me of this and my boyfriend actually saw it and showed it to me, I just had to get it LOL.
  5. Got all of this over the last couple weeks from craigslist, in trade on here, local hobby shop, local thrift store, and from a garage sale. The poster reminded me of Captain Slow LOL and I got that on sale for 50% off along with the Revell 2010 Camaro w/ a 40 % off coupon from Hobby Lobby today. The two 1/24 diecasts are Bburago Alfa Romeo 75's (aka the Milano in the US). I'll be using the red one to make Jeremy Clarkson's car from the Top Gear Alfa Romeo Challenge since this car doesn't exist in plastic kit form. Some of the other kits here are also going to be made into various cars from Top Gear UK as well .
  6. Nice but I clicked the link and it says it's not for sale I searched for R & R resin kits and came to this page: http://www.resinrealm.net/GALLERIES/RRGallery/index.html which doesn't list that Cadillac Fleetwood 4dr ('77-'79? Will that work for an '89?). I'm not sure where else to look, do you happen to know where this might be in stock or at least available?

  8. LOL yep this is the reissue, due out this month http://www.revell.com/model-kits/cars/85-4991.html
  9. It's fine I can do the conversion on a 2 door. I'm not paying the high prices for the older releases since it'll be rereleased soon so I don't mind the wait
  10. Happy Birthday, hope it's a good one
  11. hey send one of those my way, LOL j/k. I'm watching an auction on ebay for the Revell Custom Cadillac Donk and it's over $40, I wonder if people want it just because it's a Caddy, or for the Donk parts? Because Revell is re-releasing the Cadillac Lowrider in May IIRC, I'm waiting for then to pick one or two up LOL. While on the topic of Cadillac, why oh why has Revell not tooled up a current Cadillac CTS-V sedan? Heck I'd love the Coupe and Wagon too! edit: Yes I know the demand for it more than likely isn't high enough to make it offset the tooling costs, but that still doesn't stop me from wanting one! There's no current bodystyle CTS-V 4dr in 1/24 or 1/25 scale, not even in diecast! Old bodystyle yes, but not the current one. I figure Welly would have made it by now, didn't they do a 1/18 of it I think?
  12. That looks perfect, you are my hero LOL. Thank you
  13. I'm sorry to hear about what happened, but to agree with trogdor, thankfully material items can be replaced. There are ups and downs in life and luckily nobody was hurt. Don't let it get you down, and you'll see that things almost always have a way of working themselves out Good luck and take care!
  14. '00 Buick LeSabre Custom V6 that my boyfriend and I bought back in Feb from my mom. It's big, comfy, quick enough for a DD and surprisingly it gets roughly 28-30 mpg. I didn't like it much at first but it's growing on me LOL.
  15. wow, such a beautiful build! you did a great job on this, can't wait to see more of your work!
  16. This just reminds me even more of how much I love this show . I don't think I'll do the cow on Jezza's Camaro, but perhaps I'll write the slogans they put on each other's cars for a little photo shoot once they're all finished LOL.
  17. For the 440 in the kit, Chrysler Engine Blue is correct for 1968 (the 426 Hemi is still Street Hemi Orange though). Interior color source: http://www.hamtramck-historical.com/dealerships/1968ColorAndTrim-01.shtml ('68 Charger Interior color and trim guide) http://www.hamtramck-historical.com/library-2.shtml (More Factory material on other Mopars, including '68 Charger, interesting stuff!)
  18. I know what you mean Chuck. I have friends in Alabama and they are some of the nicest and most welcoming people I know (and they aren't anything like the people in that episode). I've heard that the entire "Alabama redneck gas station" scene was pretty much staged, but whether it really happened or not it still makes people that don't live here assume that Americans are nothing but rude, ignorant and stupid. It would be nice if Top Gear UK actually did an episode here in the US that shows that not all Americans are like that.
  19. it's a very nice looking coupe, would you happen to know if there are any plans to make a 4dr? How hard can it be? (Jeremy Clarkson voice )
  20. yes it is, now get out of my head LOL. j/k. I was actually thinking of putting them either in the parking lot at the beginning of the episode, or driving on the highway three wide:
  21. I want this car so I can build an accurate "Titanic", the Caddy that James May drove in the Top Gear Southern US Road Trip (Miami to New Orleans). The same one where they were chased by angry rednecks in Alabama lol. I've already got kits to make Clarkson's Chevy Camaro and Hammond's Dodge Ram from but this one will prove a bit tricky
  22. The only thing close enough that I could find is the lowrider '80s Revell Cadillac, and it is a 2dr. Has anyone made a resin trans kit of a 4dr body of a late '80s Fleetwood Brougham? Like this (sorry for the big pic):
  23. I'm surprised that Revell hasn't offered it up, seeing as how they have the '68 & '69 ya know? I'm hoping that Round2 will reissue the '71 Demon but I don't see that happening anytime soon. I've thought about it and I wonder if the molds for it were destroyed or something, since there's never been a reissue as far as I know. Looks like I will have to get the '70 Swinger or '71 Scamp kit, thanks for the info
  24. happy about having a new 1:1 car to mess around with, even if it's not particularly sporty!
