  1. You're only one can of Bondo away from achieving that dream.
  2. I'm sure that a special order (code '999') of Q5 or Q7 could've been fulfilled by Chrysler. From what I remember of these 1975 Road Runners (last year of the 'real' R.R., as it was relegated to an option package for 1976-1980), most of them were EW1 white or KY1 yellow.
  3. "Anyway, you can just call me Catlyn", Bruice Newton imparted during the interview.
  4. Nekoshima (Cat Island: Neko = Cat, Shima = Island). Oh, how I would LOVE to visit this place! Likewise, I would love to hang out in a Neko Cafe (there are many).
  5. That interior makes me want to take a shower! Yikes!
  6. Frampton, Peter, was in Humble Pie after The Herd and before his solo career
  7. Shaped of Things was a typo spotted by me on a bootleg VHS copy of a Yardbirds video selection
  8. IIRC, 1970-19?? was Oldsmobile Engine Blue Metallic for the 455; not sure about the 350.
  9. "Suck the tube until you taste Ethyl", said the biker to his old lady as they were siphoning gas from vehicles during the 1974 fuel crisis
  10. Alice In Chains Unplugged
  11. I made a poor attempt at an LS conversion back in 1986 when the kit --the regular coupe-- was new. I got as far as cutting the kit's SBC into a 4.3 V6, and attempting to recreate the LS's unique exterior parts. I was likewise hoping to see a stock Grand Prix, especially a 2+2, from then-Monogram. Nothing happened beyond the N.A.S.C.A.R. version.
  12. The Monogram Monte Carlo SS Aeroback needs to be reissued.
  13. Small Faces on Colour Me Pop (1968).
  14. Now that I think about it, the wheels did seem undersize compared to those presented on the built-up on the box. I don't recall what tyres it had; must've been those junky two-piece dungs. I don't even recall what tyres I used with them on my build of the AMT '53 F-100. However, they must've fit, otherwise I'd have abandoned them.
  15. I can only attest to the 1956 F-100: it did have the BBS-style wheels. I recall my installing them on an AMT '53 F-100; that they were moulded in that dark blue.
  16. !!! WOW !!! That is awesome! Did you shrink yourself down in order to paint that level of detail?!?
  17. I'd like to see a couple of things happen with the 1970 Road Runner (whose origins are the 1970 GTX): 1.) Put its interior in the 1970 Superbird (more common than the luxurious Sport Satellite/GTX interior in the existing -since 1988- version) 2.) Add the intake and carburetors from the 1971 GTX. Vastly superior to the blobs of the old Monogram setup (Super Bee, GTX-come- Road Runner) 3.) Custom wheels & tyres from the 2-in-1 1970 GTX (the moulded in blue release). Those were an absolute treat in the era of ad nauseam Centerlines and Cragar S/STs that the majority of Monogram's kits were flogged with. I love how the interior was revised to include the bench seat that most Road Runners were fitted with (e.g., standard interior), and the separate door cards are a nice touch. The decal sheet is great, too. That R.T.S. poster alone is awesome!
  18. That 80's rip-off called The New Monkees featured a car which was Mulletised. The first few hundred issues of the kit included coupons for hair mousse, gel, and Ultra-Hold hair spray.
  19. Many of the out-of-touch celebrities (redundant on my part) who're making asinine statements such as, "I own an electric vehicle, so I don't care if gas [ no mention of the costlier diesel fuel ] is ten dollars a gallon!". Well, that's good for you, virtue signalling twit. Just wait until the Per-Miles-Travelled taxes hit! Since the loss of revenue sources from gasoline and, to a greater extent, diesel, will disappear almost entirely, then new taxes will have to be implemented to make up for losses of said revenues. I'm also terribly worried about the looming vehicle wrecks and crashes of those E.V.'s. Talk about deadly explosions and gaseous vapour fires to be extinguished! Surely, those "teething problems" will subside with time, but still present a real danger in the meantime.
  20. Wildlife is superior to we bipeds in every possible manner
  21. 1969 Polara CHP was the quickest and fastest pursuit vehicle until 1992! It would appear that the fellows with the Street Freak Mustang are getting the third degree over the non-stock suspension and the resultant "too tall" front lift (obstructed view). Just as likely, loud exhaust, too.
  22. I have noticed more and more Tesla around over the last +/- five years; a handful of Volts and Leafs [sic] as well. The Tesla "Drinking Posts" (as I call them) are always brimming with vehicles being recharged; and, in all fairness, I typically see them between 10:00 - 15:00, and often at a fuel station near Pechanga Casino (Pechanga Parkway/Pala Road & SR 79-S/Temecula Expressway). The issue is going to be, that by 2035, when the de facto compulsory decision will be to "go electric" or take a literal hike. Suddenly, the already overloaded grid is going to be taxed even more (no pun intended); those "Flex Alerts" hours will expand to, say, the hours between 08:00 - 22:00. Fourteen delightful hours of "Don't cook, don't turn on any lighting, don't turn on the A/C-Heater -- depending upon the season --, don't wash clothing nor dishes, etc., etc." Basically, don't attempt to live a normal life, in order for those +/- 85,000$ electric vehicles to get charged up, and that you Proletarians can walk, bike, or take (unreliable) public transportation to work, etc. Looks like a certain "braintrust" will have to fire up the disused nuclear powerplants in order to supplant the power grid... ... and hope for little to no seismic activities that'll be akin to Fukushima 2011.
  23. Show and Tell (Al Wilson) is one of my favourite songs from the classic era of R&B and Soul
