  1. I love to rebuild old builtup / gluebombs. Here's a few pics of some I have saved.
  2. Nice pics! Good to see Mark Savage out & about.
  3. Nice pics Tom. Thanks for sharing,
  4. I just received my order from Model Roundup. The 359 boxes look like a truck drove over them. Will open em up tomorrow and hopefully no damage was done. Orderd 2 of these, the cabover and 2 KW cabovers. Never had any of them except for the cabover in my childhood. Actually the 359 wrecker was one of my first builds in the 70's. Looking forward to putting the pete together and I just happen to have the old sleeper to go on it.
  5. Planning on being there. Great show and people. Fun time.
  6. While I have nowhere near the kit list that Modeltrucks25 has, here's a link to what I do have. Brad http://public.fotki.com/Lordmodelbuilder/plastic_model_related/semi_truck__trailer/
  7. The show was awesome! The level of craftsmanship and detail is out of this world! The top award winner was beautiful as were all the models there. I wouldn't have wanted to be a judge! Was great to see my old friends and meet a few new. I took 766 pictures and sadly most of them are out of focus because I messed up on the camera setting Hope to see everyone there in 2015! 8. Nothing since Jan. 31st when Jason received the project. Really is sad.
  9. Any updates on the models progress?
  10. Good to hear and see the model made the trip safely. The blown Olds engine is looking good! 4-speed is nice too. Keep us posted and keep the pictures coming. Brad
  11. I am heading to the post office right now. Brad
  12. I got the message that roadhawg would be too busy right now for the build and then received the PM from Billy aka BK customs that he was next in line. I PM'ed him and will be sending the project off to him later in the week. I had a hard time trying to figure out what way to go on the car. I finally decided that since the rear quarters had been replaced with 57 Chevrolet quarters, that I would continue a custom themed build. Guess it could go custom or custom pro-touring. I don't know. Always loved customs! I redid the nose of the car using a few modified pieces from the AMT 1950 Ford convertible kit. I also built the core/radiator support to help tie the cars body together. I gave the body a quick sanding and buzz-canned on some Dupli-Color gray primer. Today I thought I would get some better pictures of the car and also tried out a few different tire & wheels combos. Can't wait to see how the project progresses. Here's a link to the rest of my pictures of the car. http://public.fotki....snowball-redux/ Thanks for letting me participate. Brad
  13. My 30 days with the model will be up this Sunday. I will need the name and address for the next builder. I will ship it out Monday. Thanks,Brad
  14. It took me a long time to finally start using an airbrush. Just never thought I needed one. My first airbrush was a simple Testors unit with their propellant. I use it for spraying enamels and it does a great job. My second airbrush is a Badger Cresendo 175. When I do use it, I spray lacquers with it. I love it! Brad
  15. I have always loved Vegas and Pintos. Built a few as a kid and still have them. Also have a few builders and some in the box. I also have the MPC silver panel/wagon kit. Brad MPC "Vegarant" 71 Vega. Pinto builder Vegabond Crazy Horse Poison Pinto Dyno Don
  16. Today I received the MCM "Project Snowball Redux ",community build Revell 53 Chevy panel. Brad
  17. The project just arrived safely in California. Here's a pic of the model. I have also started an album for it over on my Fotki site. Brad http://public.fotki.com/Lordmodelbuilder/plastic_model_related/project-snowball-redux/ <Link to the album.
  18. Thanks. here's a few more pics. Scratched bed, bumper, hitch. Friend Dave Brickwood's Cross-ram hemi powered 4X4. Old project. Got a resin cab off Ebay, but was really bad,so I made my own. Front axle on the green welder truck. Most of it is scratch-built. Need to dig it out and get it finished. Been almost 10 years since I started it! Brad
  19. Have always loved the Dodge Powerwagons. Here's a couple pics of a few I have done. The yellow one started out as the MPC 78 4x4 pickup. The green truck, started in 2003 and still not finished was also built from a MPC 78 4x4 pickup. I did use an early grill on the green truck. The beds and welders were scratch-built. The green trucks frame and most of the suspension was also scratch-built. Bumpers, hitches also scratched. Keep us posted on your builds! Brad
  20. It just mounts to the cab support. Maybe you can figure it out from my pics. My L700's both have Cross-ram Hemi's in them. Keep us posted on your progress. I love these Dodges! Brad
  21. I was on the original builder list for this model and wanted to stay on the list. I do intend on working on the model and then shipping it off to the next modeler on the list after my 30 days is up. I don't see that my not being on this site or any other site for that matter makes any difference in my character. Feel free to judge me all you want after I work on the model. Brad
  22. So, you two have already judged me just because I didn't see the last PM sent to me and the fact that I haven't posted at least 1,388 posts. Really is sad.
  23. I sent you a PM on here. Lets go for it! Brad
