  1. Top one looks like AMT 454 SS pickup kit. Bottom could be later model Corvette by the looks of the transmission.
  2. Thank you Richard! Looks like they were in fact installed wrong for a lil lift.
  3. So, I have begun to restore a friends old Corvette model. It's an original MPC 1966. Molded in silver. While taking the suspension apart, I noted the lower A-arms might have been installed wrong to give it more of a lifted front stance. There are also spacers on the upper A-arms,so must have been nose up. Pictured are the lower A-Arms. Anyone know which position is correct? I have a later version of this kit, but the suspension is different. Thanks for any help.
  4. Nice looking trucks. Love that Mack!
  5. Just placed my order. Sad to see they are going but do understand.
  6. Here's a couple more survivors. These are part of a friends dads collection that I now have. Original MPC 1966 GTO and AMT 1957. Both built in the 60's.
  7. Ace, I was just looking closer at the 1st pic you posted & did see both of them. I do have an old MPC junker 60 Vette & they are in fact for that kit. Thanks for the help everyone. Now to figure out the last one.
  8. Snake45, I have an old AMT Cobra kit & the tonneau cover is similar, but doesn't fit. Ace & Mark,as for the Rotary, I should have known it came in the MPC Vettes & Vegas. Thanks for your help guys. Hoping someone knows where the tonneau covers came from.

  12. Thank you for helping identify these old parts.
  13. Here's a survivor that was built in 1963 by a friends father. He passed away years ago & what was left of his built-ups,partial builds,& parts was put away in a garage. My friend gave it all to me and this is one of the ones that needed lil work. All I did was carefully take the body off to clean the interior. I then reattached the bumpers that I found in his parts. I then waxed the old lacquer paint and proudly have it displayed on my model shelf. Quite a bit going on with this one,but I love seeing how stuff was built & customized in the early days of our hobby.
  14. Here are some more that were built in the 70's-early 80's. I did add some BMF to a couple of these in the 90's.
  15. Here are a few of my survivors. These were all built in the 70-early 80's. The Comet is a Fast Eddie. Was built & repainted 3 times in the 70's. The 56 F100 was also rebuilt & painted 3 times in the 70's. The white Courier 4x4 was built, then traded to a friend, then I got it back & made it 4x4.
  16. I always liked the late Joe Ruggirello's 1975 505 cubic inch Mustang II. So cool to know it has been carefully restored to it's former glory.
  17. Hey Bruce. The Hummer Humvee is the Revell Jurassic Park snap model. My son built it when he was about 12. I am cleaning a bunch of stuff up & getting them back onto the shelf.
  18. I have an old AMT 1964 Corvette model that my friends dad started to customize in the 60's. It is quite a mess and I was wondering about a few parts he used. 1.Any idea what the dash is from? 2. What might the piece be that he used for the interiors back wall ? 3. What kit are the seats, steering wheel, console, floor from? 4. Chrome engine is from? Big thanks for any help. Not sure where I am headed with this one yet.
  19. Lots of nice looking pickups here Repstock,I love your 73-74 GMC pickup. What did you use to replicate the aluminum side trim? Off the shelf styrene or did you fab it up?
  20. Busy sorting parts & tires today.
