  1. That 3-wheeled car/trike is looking good. There's really no curbside class at the model championship unless you are just going to display it on the display table. Do all you can to it. One week is a long time and you can always finish it in your hotel room. Does not have to be on the tables till Saturday.
  2. I do like what you have done here. Well, maybe not the FoMoCo into a Chevy, lol. Anyways, great job! I have always loved that kit since I built the Quicksilver version in 1973. Still have it too.
  3. Well done! Beautiful car.
  4. Turned out very nice Charley!
  5. Here's a picture of a Papa Truck that David Brickwood built way back in 2002.
  6. Very cool project Charley. I too have been thrashing on a Corvair for GSL. Hope I can get it done. Looking forward to seeing yours in person.
  7. The fact that I have been waiting since January to have a couple MRI's done. Was supposed to have one done tomorrow and the other on Monday. I get a call from the imaging place today confirming my appointment for tomorrow, but said they can't do the one on Monday. Seems they have to be done at least 7 days apart. I asked them why they had them scheduled too close. They didn't know and now have waiting till mid May to have it done. So upset!!!
  8. No wonder I couldn't figure it out! Thank you Brett.
  9. I have had this old chassis and it has all kinds of phrases molded into it. Looks like a Promo to me. Says Thunderbird on it. It does have a full frame,so I know it's a later T-Bird,but I cannot seem to find out what it came from. Anyone have any idea on what it is or who manufactured it? Thanks for any help. Brad
  10. So, if I read this right, you bought a house & all those models & diecast went with it? Did the guy give up on the hobby or what?
  11. I love the Datsun 620 trucks. About time they reissued them. Would have been nice to have a KingCab version, but I will buying a few of these!
  12. Beautiful car. You do make these old models look so nice. Best of luck on the move.
  13. I know that I have seen a list somewhere online years ago that had all the original issue dates for AMT's big rigs. I have searched some tonight and have had no luck. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks!
  14. I was digging through some old parts I had gotten years ago and have a model that I can't seem to identify. I 1st thought is was some kind of AMC, but looking closer at the dash and rear body, I think it's mid 60's Mopar. It does also have a screw chassis. Searched online and sorta looks like a 65 Monoco or 880. Thanks for any help.
  15. I found rolls of lace ribbon at Michaels .
  16. Another beautiful build.Love it!
  17. I agree with Snake, shouldn't be too hard to rebuild stock if that's the way you are thinking to go. Only part I see as maybe a struggle would be getting the ragtop off in one piece.
  18. That is correct. The A-Team GMC does come with the two different grills. Would be a bit of work to make it into a short wheelbase van as the van has to be shortened in the mid & rear section. Please let us know what you decide to do. What year of GMC are you trying to replicate?
  19. I would start with the latest Revell issue 77 Chevy van or an older Revell Chevy van that had the trailer. Those kits are basically the old Monogram Chevy van. Street Van, Vanpire, Off Road van, etc. They are the short wheelbase, but they do all have the fender flares so they would have to be reworked some. Not sure what vintage of GMC van you are building, but if its a 71-77,the only difference in the grill is the bow tie emblem.
  20. What a pile I have a AMT 64 Vette that is probably worse. I will rebuild it & save it! Good luck on yours!
  21. All beautiful builds! Love the colors. Merry Christmas & Happy New Years to all.
  22. Beautiful well detailed build. Love it!
