  1. Looking good Snake! I love those early Monte's
  2. Looking much better with what you have done to it.
  3. Bill, Good to have you back.
  4. 1951 Ford F1. Has a built 429 Ford in it.
  5. I did not know Moebius was coming out with a Chevy II kit. Is there a thread somewhere about it on here Casey?
  6. That's looking good. Color sure looks correct. Out here in Calif. the forestry used to use Bronco's. A friend of mine has one.
  7. Actually got these 3 a few weeks ago but hadn't posted.
  8. That is a pretty cool box. I have the box,but no 65. I do,however have an old AMT 66 Impala.
  9. One of my favorite models. Always liked the Ranchero kit. Love the black & red!
  10. Yes, I still have every model that I built starting in 1969. Some, like the ones pictured have survived, while others are in various states of rebuild/repair. I have enough of my old stuff to rebuild to last me for years. Have a bunch of semi trucks, mini trucks,VW's,vans,Tom Daniels, etc, etc. I have never thrown away any of my model kits, parts etc. My late wife called it a sickness & she supported it. Fast Eddie Comet. Old Pro Nova.36 Ford Cabriolet,56 F100.GMC stepside,55 Vette,74 Vette,Vans!
  11. Guess everything has to eventually come to an end. It will be a sad day when the final show comes. Love that show & all the people I have met there. All will be missed.
  12. Thank you Larry & Casey. Yes Casey, there was one backing plate that was the blue color. Now I have an almost complete 59 El Cam to rebuild.
  13. Here are a couple that I built. Both are the original IMC kits and were Ebay gluebombs that I rebuilt. Love these L-Series trucks.
  14. I recently got a few older Revell 57 Chevy Nomad kits and these parts were in with one of the kits. There was also a 59 ElCamino bumper. I think maybe the 3 wheels & tires are from the Elky? They are Firestone Supremes. I have no idea what the rear end or engine/partial frame are from. Thanks for any help.
  15. Got these Testors paints & glue from a friend the other day. They were cleaning out an old shed.
  16. What a great score Snake! That white truck looks to be the original Revell issue 1956 Ford F100. Don't believe it has been reissued is white since. I would like to see that Vette Van model up close. Never seen one and it looks cool. I am interested in the half track if & when you decide to swap any of these.
  17. Thinking the 1/24 scale would be a Monogram 57 Chevy Nomad.
  18. Beautiful build! Awesome detail! Love it!
  19. Yes, the original owner moved the letters around. Here's a couple more pics of it.
  20. Great old kit. Never thought it would be reissued. As for what the year of van it is, the dashboard says it's a 71 or 72. Dashboard for a 73 is 1 year only and is a little different because they mounted the heater controls horizontal. Also, the wiper switch, ignition,& lighter & in different locations. 71 GM vans had clear front turn signal lenses in the grill, but that would be easy to do.
  21. Growing up in the 80's, I had a 1976 Courier. It had a 302 ,C4 & 8" swapped into it. Was fun. Have often thought about doing exactly what you are doing. Looking good so far!
  22. Great thread & pics. I have so many models that were started & never finished. Also have a ton of my old builds that I started to rebuild, but those are for another thread. I started this IMSA style Datsun PU in 1982. Got it this far & never finished. Mid eng.Hemi power.Scratch built rollcage & custom bodywork. The shorty VW bus was started in 1976 & not worked on again till 2005. Still not done. The Dodge van was started in 1977 when vans were the rage.Lots of custom bodywork & interior. Dodge RamBurban Dually was begun in 1996. Traded it off soon after & just got it back in 2016. 1957 Chevy vert was started in 1997 for a contest. Was building it in the Boyd style. Had problems with the clear and put it away. Caddy pu I started in 2002. Have gotten it out a few times over the years, but this is how it sits today, unfinished. Last one, well for now, is my Dodge welder truck I started in 2003 for GSL that same year. Scratch most of the frame, suspension, utility bed, welder, bumpers, opened the doors, wired & plumbed, etc. Ton of hours in 3 months time. Thrashed on it till the early hours before we left for the contest, but didnt finish. Never finished it. Who knows, maybe it will be done for the 2019 show. Enjoy.
  23. Always liked Rod Simpson's 1966 912 Porchev.
