  1. Hey Robert. Good news getting that problem under control. Did ya make it to the Kirkwood show last week. We couldn't cause them nasty gas prices.
  2. Yes Jim, I do care. Many times I see bully tactics and feel like you. Just want to go bury my head in the sand. Hang in there. I really think that not every day is a shiny day. Clouds cover us from time to time. Everyone has their day.
  3. I'm very happy that yours matches. Now that I've seen yours, I'll cut mine the same shape. Thanks for the great pictures.
  4. Great looking engine !! I want to see how you do the mis-matched dash and interior tub that the kit has. I can't believe such a mistake in molding was made. Square peg, round hole thing going on. I'm sure mine will have to be corrected.
  5. Is 100% good It helped that you could match up 4 at a time.
  6. Only one word : AWESOME !!!
  7. It would be cool to see Dr. Cranky have his own 10 minute segment on the "Gears" show. Like Stacey David says, "What are you building?"
  8. THANKS goes out to all involved in putting out such great work.
  9. Someone say Caddy? '70 Eldorado '70 Coupe DeVille '57 Eldorado Biarritz '61 Fleetwood 60 Special
  10. I suggest going through the members list and see who you can find. I found about a half dozen more in my area. Now my closest modeler is 35 miles away.
  11. Yes, Bobby Allison my second favorite driver behind "The King". Great work.
  12. All look great The older the kits, the better those tons of decals stay together
  13. After all this I would say the maximum percentage of modelers would be: .10% That would be 1 in a population of 1,000. That would be near the same percentage as race car drivers.
  14. OK Robert. Here's a picture of my '32 Ford 5-window, box stock, advanced modeler(10 or more kits in 3 years}
  15. I our town of 5000, you would be lucky to find 5 who are modelers. No where near the 100 per town mentioned earlier. Most online model boards, the highest modeler areas are Michigan, Illinois, and California.
  16. It's been mentioned that this is just a test of how many are still buying kits and MAY determine what direction Revell takes in future model kit ventures. I'm not sure about that. I LOVE BUILDING and Revell seems to be todays leader. Thanks Revell
  17. That is AWESOME !!!
  18. Model hoader would be someone with over 300 unbuilt kits AND have 20 kits that 3 are the same and unbuilt. That's not me. Models are for building, not looking at the outside of a box or hidden away and forgotten what's there.
  19. Hi Tyler Cary Foster is from Morton, IL in your area. I'm not remembering the other one right now.
  20. Oh ya ! It's a '71 Tucker Riviera
  21. Thanks for your concern George. I believe the doctor that says I'm healthy as a horse, but I'm a planner. I'm always trying to look ahead. I really have a problem with death itself. I must have some phobia of it. I can't dwell on it much. I've always heard that talking out ones problems is good theropy.
  22. When I returned to the hobby 9 years ago. My daughter was just getting into liking cars. I decided right then, that I needed to be building odd cars. The stock from the factory that not many could ever get to see in their lifetime. I began with a '60 Dodge Polara in the resin line. I wanted her to see the odd ones. I've told her and my wife, to MAKE SURE that whatever they decide to keep was OK. Just DON'T destroy the rest, donate them to a museum. I see the model museum in the December issue but, I decided this long before I knew a model museum was around. I'd like to see more of it. Has everyone here thought about where their models will be when your gone? Just curious.
  23. Trading seemed to be the main issue as nearly everyone went home with something different. 3 cars made over 2 hours trips to attend. Thanks to Robert and his wife from Shilo, Joe from Georgetown, and Cary from Morton. 14 year old Holli and 13 year old Justin led the way in the most getting built. While models and family talk were hot topics.
  24. I REALLY ... like it !!!
