99 silverado question
Nova-ss replied to Buildsince93's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Thank you Bill and Jordan for info on this project.I've been doing some reach on this project.looking at the different truck looks and models at the truckpaper.it seem to me that this truck can be the 2500.....talking body or cab.but the 3500 looks different in the hood.I will be doing some more reseaching on the info you have talked about to find pictures and measurements.so the engine in the 1500 can be used in the 2500 and 3500 as well? and what engine is the 1500? is it a small block? 350 I guess.is there a bigger one in a kit or in resin somwhere? also is the NV4500 ever made in a kit? and what about the transfer case?....I;m sorry I have a million questions.Thank you all your help,Chris -

Need some help from Oldsmobile experts
Nova-ss replied to Scott Colmer's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I don't know here it goes.but I had a engine that didn't have a oil filter location either once.I reashed were it goes, and found out the model company never put one on it...so I built one and put it in the location it was suppose to be in....sounds like you will have to do the samething. Thanks,Chris -
What is it that is wrong with the MPC kit.I don't have that kit and never have....so I don't know.If heard there was big promlems with using it.does anyone know what all of the troubles with it are and what other kit is better.I like buiding my own display models....so I'd want to build it not buy it done.any advise I'd like to here.Thank you,Chris

Thank you for this info on the truck.I have a couple rearends like the ones used in the 3500's.I'll make the springs and perchs for the springs.I guess I will look for some info on the front to see if I can make the front suspension as well.what is different in the frame besides length and highth? and is there a dual tanks and where are they located? is the engine that is in the 1500 the same or is it different as well? yes if you can find the casters name I would like the contact info.again I thank you for the info on this truck.Thank you,Chris -

Nova-ss replied to Buildsince93's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
My question is what parts do you need to make it a dually and or a 2500 or 3500.I have made a stock version and want a 2500 and 3500 and yes, dually truck.I know the rearend and springs have to change and the rims have to change.the decals have to say 2500 or 3500. what else has to change.and or course the where do you get the bed rear fenders or the whole bed with the rear fenders atteached.Thanks.TIA,Chris -

Revell 1/12 Mustang GT500 now on Revell`s site
Nova-ss replied to Hawk312's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
When I was at GSL this year I also talked with Scale Motor Sports.they told me that they were making different detail sets for this kit.they said it would be available in the later half of the year.the think I remember them aying there was going to be four diffferent sets to buy.you would choose how far you wanted to detail this kit.I have looked on the site but nothing about it yet....but I was told by Scale Motor Sports that they were doing it.so it hopefully will be out soon. Thanks,Chris -
For me.I want one in my town not 30 to 50 miles away.and I have mine own store like most of ya all out here.but its nice to see more stuff to put in mine own store.also the mall is nice but the mall pricing or rental is so costly that the kit prices are most time higher. stand alone store is best...unless money is no problem. Thanks,Chris

I have some pictures I took when I saw it at GSL this year.Scale Motor Sports is making a detail set for it as well.it looked nice to me and plan on building a few as well.the pictures I have I'll put them here and its test shots....no paint on it.Thank ya,Chris -
For me it has to do with so many things.most have listed them already.for me is time.there is some much to look at I don't have time to coment always.so things I just have nothing to say.it would be nice to have a couple of buttons that could be used so you don't have to type, but still be able type if you so desire to.but the powers would have to choose to give us the ablitiy to push a button that said a certian sentance of idea that would not hurt anyone that saw it....good idea using a button.thanks to the person that had that idea.Thank ya,Chris
