What's next from Round 2?
Nova-ss replied to BigBad's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I saw on the web site from Round 2 that the Western star was going to be re issed as well...I saw it from them.it was mentioned along with the REO.it also makes sense cause the REO and the Star both share some of the same parts...I hope it comes true.they are so talked about the fruitwagon.I went back and look and it is still there on there site and a letter was sent to me that talked about both...so I sure hope so.Thanks,Chris -
Black, Black , or Black...?
Nova-ss replied to MikeMc's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I use Nato Blk along with many shades of Blk in flat to gloss.it depends on what you want to do.I've used different Blks to bring out different parts that are all Blk.I hope that helps you. Thanks,Chris -
What's next from Round 2?
Nova-ss replied to BigBad's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
It would seem to me that sense the Autocar and the Road Boss and now the Reo,that the old Westernstar would be next sense they share some of the same parts trees.I want the old IH 4270,tha Cat D8 and all of the farm tractors that ERTL did>i have some of the farm tractors and there sub kits.I think in time will see most of the kits re issued. Thanks,Chris -
There is a caculater that is for download on different sites, that is can be put on your computer.I use it all the time. the programs name is Scalecalc ,there is another I can use but its a pay program.I like using it to its called Handy Converter like was said above,a normal caculater can do it but more steps involved then a computer program.if needed I can find the site for you. Thanks,Chris

I would like to apologize.
Nova-ss replied to John Teresi's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
John, I don't see what most are talking about....I most of the time don't pay attention to people being upset.I don't need apology.everything is ok.I like watching your builds and trying to learn from all builders.I certainly hope you don't leaved we need to see great works.I'm sorry you are hurting from what ever others may have said.keep building and posting.Thank you,Chris -

I'm still working on this project.I've been working on the engine for the truck....the engine is the next part for me that needs to get done so I can get back to the frame work.this is one of the 35 projects actively being done.Thank you,Chris

On most cars from the factory are painted semi gloss black.there was some parts like shocks, exhaust, engine trans pans, parts like that are different then semi gloss, but to show the difference in parts you need to have slightly diffent colors or tones of blk and from gloss to flat.no to say anything about the road dirt and greases that are present on the undercarridge of cars or trucks.these days you can see the body color on the firewall and bottom were the body is.hopefully that make some sense.good lucky,Chris

What Type of Modeler are you??
Nova-ss replied to Romell R's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I have all classes,but most builds are class 4's.Thank ya,Chris -
My wife is known as "Sweetie" by all that know me or that I do anything with.I mix music, bands and run many sound related projects, she is known by all as Sweetie.she has always been supportive in this hobby.she has allways been and is alway been welcome any place I go.everyone knows if they see me they see her.where ever one is the other is close by.I asked her in the first couple of months we were going out if she was going to want me to get rid of these kits I have.she said no,its you,you have talent at it and I always know were you are.I'm lucky or blessed how ever you look at it and I know it!!! she goes to all the shows, contests and model meeting we have and the other guys all know to exspect to see her to.she talks, ask questions to the builds on there projects.she support me getting more kits and don't say anything about how many,it me that has to say "done for now" not her.she is smart, beautiful and loving and I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for her and my three beautiful daughters that I wouldn't trade anything for.I think most of my friends don't even know my Sweeties name, they even call her sweetie cause they don't know what her name really is.I only have one wife and only want the one I have....I'm happy! with my sweetie.....My Sharmee. Thanks for letting me say a little of how I feel,Thanks, Chris

In my opinion.I want more peices....so more and separate parts....like three piece bumpers are perfect to me.there is more possiblitys in more pieces.I know it may scare off some from the pieces count but I think better kits.I agree with the first posts here on this subject.and placement of the sprue mark on the part does have to be there but a better place then the chrome edge would make a better looking kit for us as a builder and for the model company's as well. Thanks,Chris

Why do so few vote on MCM polls ?
Nova-ss replied to Greg Myers's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Well, for me.most of what I see as a Poll.....I don't understand......so I don't answer.also,to me there is so much to look at,I don't have enouch time to look at it all,but that is a good thing to me.so Polls,I don't open or understand what some one wants to to know.I look at what is interesting to me.I at mostly other peoples models finshed or WIP pictures and read about what they are doing.what is a Poll for other then for some one to produce parts for others to buy.....which is ok but I most of the time......don't have time to read or answer it.Thanks,Chris -

2011 Revell-Monogram fall releases
Nova-ss replied to Luc Janssens's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
At GSL last week.I talked with Revell rep.he said that the 1/12th Mustang was to be released in the fall at a model show about that time....fall.it looked great to me,the test run I saw.I took pictures of that and the three other 1/25th scale kits they had there.I saw the box art for the 1/12 mustang and talked with Scale Motor Sports about the detail sets that are coming for the 1/12 mustang.I can't wait for that.I've never built or had a OC kit and I want to build that one.the wrecker truck is cool as well, and will be get some of them and a few others as well.Thank ya,Chris -
I love F1 racing and the cars that run as well.I would love to see and hear more about the sport and the cars.your build is great.if it wouldn't have said F1...I mite not have looked but cause you put F1 in the title it got my attention.thank you,Chris

I was there on saturday.I saw alot of great models.talked with many people and bought alot of kits.I talked with the photo guy for this mag....he was nice.I talked with Revel on the 1/12 scale mustang.I saw the test run of the kit.it looked great and I want a few.its is suppose to be out around the fall sometime.they talked about a toy show,so I'm thinking it about then.scale motor sports...I believe that is doing the update or detail set for the car.the detail set is suppose to be not one but many sets, depending on how far you want to go with the detailing of it.I saw the art work for the box....its good to.they showed the three other 1/25 scale kits there to.there was no paint on any of the test runs.....like normal.the show was great.I don't have a site to upload my pictures to that are big enouch to handle all the picture I took.I'll see if I can shrink them down and upload them to photobucket or fotki site.I figured by now everyone would have shown there pictures.anyways that what I saw,I also talked with Mark to but I alway do when I see him at shows....he is a cool and nice person to talk with.I had alot of fun and will keep sporting it and so does most if not all the model builders here.to much to remember for a old man like me.Thanks all,Chris

I'm not a chevelle guy....but a nova guy.but I do know big blocks.I have built many....in one to one.the one on the left, looks to small and not right.sets to far down in the valley.the intake on the right sets more where it should set, looks more right to me.your builds are going well.....I like both of them.thank you,Chris
