This model was built for the Model Club Contest "Paper Bag". I had the unlucky pick of this model.
So I decided to make Lemonade out of a Lemon. It's the AMT Moonscope. I decided to make it like a futuristic Lowrider.
I got third place in the contest.. Not bad for a build that my heart was not really in it to finish.
I believe this was my hardest build EVER... not because the kit was alot of trouble to put together. No, it was because I REALLY didn't want to waste my time on this build when I have lots of other GREAT kits to build. Oh, well... here's the finished product.
Let me know what you think?
Thanks everyone for the kind comments.
Currently I have a few other Ponies on the works. Some of the 1969 Ponies (MACH1, BOSS 302, BOSS 429, Shelby) and two other 1970 Ponies (another BOSS 429 and MACH 1 Twister).
Thanks.. It's a Resin body by Time Machine Resins. It goes very well together with the 1970 donor kit mustang.
Thanks Doc... Yeah, I do LOVE those Ponies.
Thanks Ken. I designed the back using Corel Draw. To get it close to the Mecum Auction, I created it when I was watching the Mecum Auction. Then I printed them on 3 Card Stock paper and tapes them together. The little red carpet I bought at Michael's Craft Shop.
Doc - That's an awesome build. I love all the little details this Master Builder created on his diorama. That's a build to inspire any model builder, and it gives me ideas for future builds.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful build.
Very nice looking engines... I LOVE IT!!!
Here's a few more from my builds:
