  1. My sentiments exactly. It's amazing what can be done with these snap kits.
  2. Very nice. Well detailed and tastefully done.
  3. Very believable. I like the way you folded the winterfront. Nice work.
  4. Great job on this build. I like the details like the chassis plumbing.
  5. That really looks good. I lean towards silver myself, but gold would look good as well.
  6. I really like what you've done. I am trying to understand what it is you did to change the visor. It does look better with the lowered cab. I never really paid attention to it but after reading this thread, I looked at other Astros and I do see a a bit of a difference. This truck is turning out nice.
  7. That's a creative idea with the hardware. Nice work so far.
  8. You're off to a good start.
  9. You're making some nice progress.
  10. Watkins had lots of white Great Danes as well. If you have the Ertl GD reefer kit, you could strip the chrome and go with the white trailer. I think the stainless trailers were starting to be replaced by white ones around '71-'72. The Fruehauf pix I have show them to be white, but with the little vent door in the upper left corner of the nose like Ertl's Great Dane kits. Here's a white GD from the '70s with the newer graphics. Note the eskimo has since rode his skis off the trailer. I think late 1970 or '71 is when he disappeared. Of all the Watkins pix I have, one thing I can't seem to find to confirm my theory is trailer wheel color. I believe the spokes are red, but not sure.
  11. They both look great. I love the paintjobs of both trucks.
  12. This is a cool little KW.
  13. I like the color scheme and the minor mods you've made.
  14. As others have said, the opened windows are a nice touch. Cool paintjob, too.
  15. Interesting project. I never knew about this truck or any being built. I only ever saw long nose Big Horns. Now I know why.
  16. Sweet. I never did find mine.
  17. It was a treat seeing it in person. I still haven't found the pic containing the trailer's measurements but I'm still looking in case anyone wants it.
