  1. Nice work so far. I like the weathering.
  2. Amazing detail work. I love the dash.
  3. WOW! Great work on the weathering. It's very, very believable.
  4. This is a nice build. I like the idea of the load as well.
  5. Great job on the paint and the engine. I look forward to seeing more.
  6. Excellent work thus far.
  7. I have the same KW sign. It's supposed to be a replica of a dealer sign from, I believe, the 1950s. I bought it from ATHS a little over 20 years ago. I collect what I can, and have saved a few things from my career.
  8. That looks outstanding. The FLC was always a favorite of mine.
  9. Thanks. I picked up a can since I have one of these to build.
  10. Cool. I rarely see this truck built as a straight truck.
  11. More really cool builds. I like the lowboy and 1/16 KW.
  12. I think only the early Astros had these, as they don't seem to appear on later models. They were very small and I would imagine not as easy to use for seeing to the rear. I used these because they are rare. I also prefer the larger mirrors. Ok , i never brought this or the chevy kit back in the 70's because i thought they were the only mirrors in the kit . I only found out later on that there was a choice of mirror . My truck was built from the latest reissue of the Astro kit, but the mirrors came from an original issue Chevy Titan kit. I believe only the original Astro/Titan kits had these mirrors. Nice Titan, Ken. I love the background, too.
  13. Very nice work. I agree. The setting where it was photographed adds to the realism.
  14. Nice work. What red paint did you use? It looks very close to the shade of red Fruehauf used on their trailers.

  16. Let's see those GMC trucks. My '72 Astro.
  17. Finished at last. Here is my Astro and the 40 ft Trailmobile van I built for it. It was made using 2 of the 27' Trailmobile double trailers. Aside from lengthening it, I made a tandem axle suspension, added the big crossmember ahead of the suspension that Trailmobiles had on their older 40 footers, added air hoses, and a few other small details. I weathered it as best I could and added the soot stain on the upper right that used to be common on van trailers of that era. Now that it's complete, I can get back to my White Freightliner and others. Thanks for looking.
