    Nice build of a classic KW.

    The KW engine is an NTC 290. It had a turbo but the regular intake manifold like in the Freightliner COE kits instead of the aftercooler like other turbo Cummins engines. The other one would be an NTC 350 or NTC 400. Most likely, judging by the name plate(It says Freightliner instead of White Freightliner) I would say it's a BIG CAM. Cummins introduced the BIG CAM in the mid 1970s.

    It's so unique and different. I like it. I can picture this unit doing hay rides at state fairs for some reason.

    I always liked this kit myself and yours built into a great looking fleet truck. Only thing missing is a wind fairing. As to the short bumper, another reason was weight savings. Every pound counts and the lighter the truck, the heavier the load it can carry. It didn't save much, but like I said, in the eyes of management at a fleet, every pound counts.
