  1. do a google search for the actual model number. C-11664 To understand this better, C = conventional, 116 = the BBC ( the kit does come with decals for the larger "DIAMOND REO" banner for the side of the hood, this is for the 114" BBC ONLY), 64 = six wheel & 4 wheel drive (tandem). Look on Hank's truck pictures, http://www.hankstruckpictures.com/dt_trucks.htm You can also modify it into a Diamond T 1000 Or a REO. If you feel ambitious, slide the front axle & springs back, cut the hood & slide the fenders back for a set back front axle version. Ap40
  2. Edsel-Dan's answer on the beaver tail is correct. As to the coaming rail, "A raised frame, designed to deflect or prevent entry of water, around an opening", so there must be a surface on the trailer where a raised rail is present to catch any liquids. Perhaps to help minimize spillage of leaking equipment on to the road way. Beyond that, all references i know of for a coaming rail is a raised lip around openings on ships & boats to prevent water from dripping in. Ap40
  3. Very good, a slightly easier way to measure for modeling in the 2 scales are: 1/24 -- 1/2" = 1' 1/25 -- 1" = 1 mm my 2 pennies
  4. Both the dump (DC-9964) & the tractor (A64B) were reissued less than 10 years ago, so if it does happen it will not be for a while.

  10. It is amazing just how fast one can assemble parts that are cut out on a CNC mill. The time would certainly be much more if each piece was laid out & cut the traditional way. Ap40
  11. Just awesome, Another fantastic build - weathering - staging for the photos. all the added details to the kit, huge improvements, especially plumbing & fittings. Ap40
  12. Interesting......... looks like either the frame is sagging or the suspension is tweaked, as the rear-rear drive axle is off the ground on both sides.
  13. Nope, never done in a kit or resin (for public sale).
  14. NICE!!!!! Less chrome = better looking rig. Ap40
  15. Interesting build, photo #3 in the opening post, your 1st rear axle is upside down! The power divider is dragging on the ground. So what did you come up with for a hydraulic system to tilt the cab? Ap40
  16. WOW, a rare find & to appear as a complete original kit. Ap40
  17. If a medium duty is the goal, then try the Italeri Opel Blitz kit in 1/24.
