  1. Interesting, kind of like the Darth Vader of wreckers. Ap40
  2. Dave, Fantastic work & so happy to see all of the binders coming, Great patterning on the hoods & cabs, especially to see someone adding in the under hood detail (hood structure) as it is always left out by the plastic kit makers, and most other resin casters. Ap40
  3. Nice model, but the fuel tank straps are not up to par with the rest of the model. They stand out like a sore thumb of sorts. Ap40
  4. Well I have the gull wing bumper, never thought about casting the long double rail grab handles. I would lean towards casting the mounts & step cleat & using ally rod for the bars. As for the other bits, all good ideas. KFS has a nice set of plated PE slam locks. Ap40
  5. Nice build so far, Great use of the mini kit boxes with in each Round 2 re-issue Ap40
  6. Finished product is beyond words. Speechless one again. Ap40
  7. Sharp little workin Ford. I like it Ap40
  8. Nice, always rewarding to find modeling goodies in odd places. The rims look great on that Chevy. Ap40
  9. Dave, In my opinion, the focus of of modern US trucks & trailers is the only way to go. Given modern technology, CAD files, 3D modeling software, CNC milling milling machines and so on, the ability to work with the complex curves & profiles of the modern US has become relatively easy. From reading thru all these posts, comments & and answers the issues with the tooling were more related to the "mechanics" of the truck & not the curves. With just how high Moebius has raised the bar with the Lonestar, Prostar & a true 53' reefer trailer, lets continue the path. Moebius has proven just what is possible with modern tech, so why ask them to go backwards? On ward & upward the more modern the better. I say yes to a US Mack Titan or Granite, KW T-700, T-908, T-2000, or even a F brand. The only addition I ask to have is a day cab option or a complete day cab version of each. Although the older & vintage trucks are a great topic, and the resin casters are slowly working there way thru so many of the possible topics. In the current world of high tech come high cost comes the need to maximize ROI with in the time constraints set forth by those in charge. While at the same time turning out a product that will be marketable to a wide range of model builders across the age spectrum. We need to keep in mind that the CAD files that are supplied by the OEM & ability to work with them in our current world will always out weigh the coast per man hour to manually measure & document a vintage truck, and then having to re-design it in CAD. We will also benefit from the use of the factory CAD files in the resulting kit will be as close to a miniature of the actual as our wildest dreams. Ap40, a true fan & buyer of Moebius models!
  10. not so ugly, but is one heck of cool build! Ap40
  11. words just can not do this build justice. Spectacular! Ap40
  12. Great start on a sidewinder! Will keep an eye on your progress Ap40
  13. Nice, another Juggernaught! A very good friend once sent me a pile of photos for 2 of these beasts sitting out west, The Ford F series cab is consistent on all of them. Now if one were to start with a resin cab & couple of these.....http://www.amazon.com/toys-games/dp/B0018RUNJM Ap40
  14. You know it does not matter where i see this model, it always takes my breath away. and the model extends it self far beyond the plastic, the staging in natural sunlight brings it all to life! Standing ovation Alian Ap40
  15. That is one sharp rig! What shade of green is that? Ap40
  16. no website only email. pm me Ap40
  17. The model certainly is an impressive build so far, the hood stretch is convincing enough to be a factory option, flawless paint & stripes. Why not use ally tube for the hydraulic rams? it will polish out much better & you wont have to be concerned with paint thickness build up & loss of tolerance. Just curious why you limit yourself to only using styrene for scratch building when there are better material alternatives. Ap40
  18. Hey Jacobus, if you are going to do the Floor import version, will you be powering it with a Mack or a DDC? Would really like to have a true FTF cab kit done in resin. The DTMC container trailer is NOT a laser cut kit, it IS a CNC milled kit. I have both scale versions, & the 1/25 about 75% done. Great starting point with the potential for so much detail. Ap40
  19. AITM only has the 700 series so far, none of the 300's as of yet Ap40
  20. WOW, chrome plated Lego, so much more than the blocks i had as a kid........ Ap40
  21. Gary Wallace (GW Trucks) has a Cat 3406 in resin with the correct tilt. Bell housing rotated & motor mounts corrected. Just an option Ap40
  22. Colors are great & the 12 x 24 boots make it stand tall & mean. Interesting use of Mack wheels, but spokes are better that chrome junk in the kit. Ap40
  23. Super fleet of builds. Especially like the WS w/ all the pin striping. Ap40
  24. Once again, over the top in detail & realism. Ap40
