  1. Jerry is in the process of upgrading to a new printer system, please be patient as this is a time consuming and expensive process. My understanding is that the end result will far exceed existing capabilities & print quality.
  2. Thanks guys, I will get on the gull wing bumper next week as i am out of town until Sunday. Ap40
  3. Great & thanks for the compliments guys. Would a better gull wing bumper be of interest? Ap40
  4. These are new parts i am now casting for updating the AMT KW K-123. First up is a pair of cab mounts, taken from the AMT Aerodyne kit, these are left & right & attach to the bottom of the interior bucket. Making for a better & stronger cab tilt hinge. IMD part # PT-4 Next is a 4 pc set of later production grab iron / cab step assemblies + the horizontal grab for above the door. IMD # PT-5 Last is the wide / later production grill for larger hp engines, IMD # PT-6 All parts are cast in pure white resin, and require very little clean up. Send me a email for pricing information to rick@industrialmodeldesign.com Thanks for the interest! Ap40
  5. Soon i will post photos of the wider grill, grab irons and the cab mounts for updating the AMT K-100. all cast in snow white resin. say tuned over the next day or so. Ap40
  6. WOW, fantastic build!. Ap40
  7. WOW, super build of a super rare kit. I keep mine on display in a showcase, unbuilt still in the original box. Ap40
  8. Well the answer is rather long & somewhat complex. if you are looking to use the 4x4 married box spicer that came in many of the AMT kits such as the Diamond Reo, Western Star or Road Boss, then both sticks would be fairly close together in the cab & that transmission can be detailed up quite nice. If you are looking to use a 5 & 4, then the 2 transmissions from the AMT KW W-900 / Alaskan Hauler . Challenge mixer & the T-600 is what to use. All of these kits share the same chassis & drive line (of which as we know is totally wrong for the T-600). For that installation, the 5 speed main box is mounted to the engine & the 4 speed auxiliary box is mounted about 2 to 3 scale feet behind the main. Linkages are separate to each transmission. I will look in my files and see what i can post for images of each set up. Ap40
  9. Alain, Fantastic Mack RB-600 rebuild & a spot on hood scratch build. That would be a great offering to have in resin! Nice to see the B train flats for logging getting a face lift & repair as well. Thank you for sharing, Ap40
  10. I like it all EXCEPT the goofy pipes. About the worst thing to add to a truck, IMHO
  11. AITM currently has a 1930's Mack CH/CJ, http://www.aitruckmodels.com/pages/ck118mackchcj.html It is one, but stay tuned. Ap40
  12. Well between the adverts & the photos, it tells you that the engine is a Cat 3306, Fuller transmission, Rockwell transfer case, Hendrickson walking beam rear suspension. The front axle appears to be a 18K Marmon-Harrington, but any US type could be substituted. The frame rails are most likely a standard Autocar 10" channel rail. you have a side view drawing with dimensions. 20" super single tires all around on the original. The wrecker version, newer fatter radial types. Ap40
  13. Just to give you an idea of the "stuff" under the hood of the VNL attached are a few photos from 2012. 2 images of a VNL with the Volvo D12D motor, 12L w/ egr cooler. Current production has the D-11, D13 or D16 w/ DPF & SCR. 1 image of a VNL w/ a Cummins ISX 600. Ap40
  14. Honestly, the amount of missing "stuff" under the hood of any version VN is staggering. So unless Italeri steps up & tools up a entirely new kit, it is better off as a curbside. The only ISX available now is in resin from Auslowe & although it is a very nice piece, it is in 1/25. The VN being 1/24 really makes the ISX look more about the size of a ISC (approx 9 L) . Ap40
  15. Dang that came out nice, I 3rd the request for natural sunlit photos!! I have to be honest, still not a fan of this modern / retro / smog motor type, but those flames & the details really set it off. Ap40
  16. Good, I will also add in the short bar for above the drivers side door. Ap40
  17. Jim, I will be glad to show you how to do just that this winter. Ap40
  18. Just for clarification, here are 2 images of both the wider grille & the grab rails from the AMT Aerodyne K-100 & the RoG VIT K-100 kits. IMHO, the RoG parts are the bits to run as the detail & accuracy is much greater than the AMT. Your opinions count, so lets here which you would prefer to have. Thanks, IMD
  19. OK guys & gals, i have several sets and am willing to make & cast them in a pair. Others have mentioned the larger grille as well. anything else? I am looking at $12.00 a pair plus postage. PM or email me. Will build a mold next week & post photos. Ap40
  20. Very sharp LTL-9000! Great colors & all the heavy work details add up to a super build! Ap40
  21. you know that is pretty slick! Even though I don't model light commercial / pick ups & the like, this does open up some really interesting modeling possibilities. Thanks for sharing, sorry i don't have a Galaxy kit to measure. Ap40
  22. OK, but faster to buy the kit from IRC http://apps.aitruckmodels.com/Gallery/album.cfm?a=8735 Ap40
  23. Super rebuild of the greatest name in trucks. On those drive hubs, KFS offers beautifully cast resin replacements that come with the brake drum attached. http://www.kitformservices.com/tq.html Part # TQ-H4. Looking forward to updates on this truck. Ap40
  24. I would start in the toy isle of any K or W-MART or toy store in general. Carry a ruler Or at least note pad with a sketch & markings to check what you find. Also try the "farm" toys in Central tractor or Agway stores. Ap40
  25. Sergey, Always glad to help. Ap40
