The Peerless GT Phase 1 was build from 1957 until July 1959. Nearly 250 Phase 1 were build when a facelift with over 20 small and not so small improvements were incorporated in to the design of the new Phase 2’s in July 1959. Most of these changes are not visible but a revised frontal design resulted in the headlamps being partially recessed into the fenders and a conventional non chromed grill replacing the “P” emblem that adorned the air intake of earlier cars. On the hood a single fairing replaced the previous “double-hump”. It wasn't an easy task to for me to decide who had sent the correct answer because most of the answer were Peerless GT. some said 1958, some 1959 some 1958 - 1961. So who gets a highly recommend for the correct answer Ace-Garageguy otherunicorn Richard Bratrop DonW Earl Marischal Recommend goes to thatz4u Bucky Congratulations

According to the British motor journalist Giles Chapam the Humber Spectre Mk III was the worst car ever sold. Rootes Motor ltd. wanted to make a quick profit from the "ultra-respectable" reputation of the Humber brand and did a "good job of turning a traditional name into worthlessness. The Humber Spectre Mk III was build from 1967 - 1976. The Spectre Mk III was the only model of the luxuries high end car manufacture Humber that was produced after Chrysler ´had taken over Roots Motor Ltd. It was the high end middle class car of the Rootes Arrow car range (Singer Gazelle, Singer Vogue, Hillman Minx and Hilmann Hunter) Rootes sold seven different models that shares a common rootes Arrow base. This badge engineering was very common in the 1960/1970 in the Uk. Tis car was the world's first fibreglass bodied 5-door station wagon ever produced. The Anadol SV 1600 had a completely different design than the 4 -door Anadol models. The body lines where inspired by Reliant's Scimitar sports wagon coupe,. Power came from a inline 4-cylinder Ford "Kent" 1599ccm, 65 hp engine. Prodtion had begun in 1973 and ended in 1981 after 6092 cars. Anadol cars were produce in Istanbul/Turkey The correct answer were sent in by: (I hope that I didn't forgot somebody) otherunicorn Ace-Garageguy Matt Bacon DonW thatz4u Congratulation

Model Car Display for Show NOT Diarama
carsntrucks4you replied to Ralphie's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
When I look back on more than 50 years of truck and car modeling I saw so many excellent build models on various model car shows in the USA, UK, Canada, Belgium, Netherlands or Germany that were destroyed by a figure that looks so awful. If you can't paint a figure never ever put this piece of junk next to or inside the model. Typical failures on these figures are eyes bigger than a squash compared to the size of it, painted without any shadowing, highlights or depths, glossy shine or painted figures from American Diorama etc.. Those figures will get more attention than your perfect, high detailed model. Specially when you are on a show where also figures are on display. If you want to place a figure next to your model learn how to paint the. Have a look to the military and figure modelers. Ask them how to paint a figure. That is how I learn it. Nowadays I can't do it any more due to the fact that I'm getting older and the magnifier can't be big enough 🤣 Your model gets more attention compared to others if display it on a mirror, a piece of wood or even on a real carburetor or valve cover. Friend had loaned me a cracked Weinand blower were I displayed a funny car on it. Another idea is to build big models in 1/12 or 1/8 than you get a lot of attention, because the average people just see the size. -

The new Strato Models Kenworth 925 Needle Nose kit. Kit contains a photoetched chassis like the ones from A&N Trucks. A nice Cummins NH engine without turbo. Rear suspension is a KW torsion setup. The fith wheel seems to be an ASF. The quality is out. A Kenworth S925 is planned for 2025 As far as I know all kits are sold out.

This rear end belongs to a 1969 - 1977 Opel Admira B. The Admiral was the intermediate line of the Opel KAD (Kapitän/Admiral/Diplomat) lineup. The Admiral was offered as Admiral 2.8S (single carburator), 2.8H (Dual carb)and 2.8 E (Fuel injection) with automatic transmission and power steering. The 2.8l Opel CIH engine a inline 6. Opel's luxurious KAD lineup was canceled due a increased market share of Mercedes-Benz and BMW. Special the introduction of the Mercedes Benz W116 and the oil crisis in 1973 leads to a 90% decrerase of the total production of the KAD line. In 1977 the last of the big Opel rolled of the production line. The correct answer were sent in by thatz4u W-409 otherunicorn Richard Bartrop (sorry) Chris R (sorry) Congratulations, well done
