  1. I finished the bodywork on the front end, the headlight tunnels are made out of aluminum tubing.
  2. I use meguiars rubbing compound after sanding with 3000-12000 grit
  3. Lol! My computer must have that!
  4. I've never had any problems with the USPS but the P.O. Closing at 4 PM can get really annoying when I can't get there until at least 5 during the week
  5. Have you tried polishing it?
  6. Z06 corvette and the 55 chevy pro sportsman kits have donated their drivetrains to quite a few of my builds.
  7. Dirtmodeler.com
  8. Sometimes I know, sometimes I don't. For example, I bought my 55 F-100 with plans to build it stock, but now It's well on the way to being a full kustom.
  9. I usually listen to Shinedown while I build.
  10. I just go outside and "work" on this when I'm frustrated.
  11. Wow, and I thought the Dupont basecoat/clearcoat that I use was expensive.
  12. I casted a 32 ford grill with the japanese stuff and it turned out perfect, I will see if I can find some pics of it.
  13. I'm definitely guilty of this on quite a few of my builds, but I figure I would rather mess up a few times before I get something right than never try to do it. And thanks to this awesome forum if I can't figure something out, I can usually find the answer here.
  14. Thanks guys! Does anybody know if there is a place where I can get some bolts and nuts with a. 032 diameter to hold the suspension together? If not I could always just pin the rear suspension in place.
  15. Mine was the same way, 6 instructions, all different languages!
  16. I am almost finished with the rear suspension, It's a fully functional 4-link made out of brass tubing and photo-etch brackets from dirtmodeler.com. All thats left is to make a set of coil overs and then I can move on to the front suspension which will also be functional. Hers it is in the raised position. And here it is fully lowered. Thanks for looking! all comments/suggestions welcome.....Billy
  17. I probably have 15 or so unbuilt kits at the moment but I haven't been buying as many new ones lately so I can have the money to finish my 1:1 Regal.
  18. I use Dupont automotive base coat for color and 2 part urethane clear.
  19. I use the cheapo primer from wal mart to prime colored plastic and have never had any bleedthrough.
  20. I left the Kirkwood show with a 50 ford p/u, a 67 chevelle pro street, a 69 nova, and a Jimmy Flintstone 59' Cadillac body.
  21. The method I use is for candy paint only. First spray the base color (I use silver or gold for candies) and shoot a few coats of the candy ( red, blue,green......) and after the color is dry, mask the flames and spray a pearl coat over the flames. After that unmask the flames and spray a few light coats of candy over the whole car until you get the desired effect. You should end up with flames that only show up in certain light. Hope this helps.....Billy
  22. Those graphics are awesome!
  23. I really like that caddy! I might have to pick one up if they"re available at the kirkwood show on Sunday.
  24. Once I finish it I will be driving a blue 1985 Buick Regal with a mildly built 350!
