  1. HI! This model started as a 1/25 snap rescue kit from MPC. Now it´s a model of a Search And Rescue vehicle with some extra detailing, scratchbuilt roofrack and so on.. Comments and questions are welcomed of course. Pics:
  2. Well It should be yes but it isn't. Roofline is really a bit too low. I know this because I own a 1:1 1988 Jetta which has the same roofline height. Thank you for your nice comments and fot the rabbit info.
  3. So this is 1988 VW Golf. It's called VW Golf here in Europe and VW Rabbit in U.S. if I'm right. Actually this kit represents a chopped 1986 model but I left fixed " went " windows off to make it look like '88 model with older side mirrors and grille. Fujimi has done a great job by molding a chopped Mk2 Golf body so it wasn't possible to build this this one as a stock version. Using tamiya bright orange spray led to other things in decal placement.
  4. Old Monogram kit with aftermarket brakes and Aoshima tyres & Revell wheels. Paint: Tamiya dark deck tan + clear. Local ( Finnish ) licence plates. Pics:
  5. Thanks for comment. I wanted to try some new methods in painting and bmf work on this model and I wanted to build a 57 bel air with Buick grille insert so here it is.
  6. Thanks for comments. I found that fabric tape on decoration department of local shopping centre here in Finland. Kit has opening doors with toy like hinges so I decided to glue them shut.
  7. Hello! This is my almost box stock club project. I tried to achieve some sixties mild custom touch into this one. An AMT kit with some minor modifications and detailing, Pegasus wheel / hubcap combo and tyres. Paint: tamiya, hand painted scallops, some extra BMF work to the top to achieve brushed steel look. Thanks for looking!
  8. Hi! Italeri rereleased an old Esci model kit of 1984 Transit so I had to build one. This time I chose to build it as a stock version with some scratchbuild detailing as reflectors behind all light lenses, towing hooks, exhaust tip and cooler behind the kit supplied see - thru - grille etc. Upholstery has been made by using some fabric tape on seats. Next one will be a custom van. Thanks for watching!
  9. I sanded off that silver paint behind headlight lenses and clearcoated them. I build headlight detail by gluing aluminium parts from wrist - watches to represent headlight bezels.
  10. indeed they are from Mr Modeller!
  11. Just your basic build and play- kit with some extra: As always, questions and comments are welcomed. Thanks for watching!
  12. I am still in allthough the life has got very effectively on the way. Now it's the time to continue building the CMC Motorhome. The long brake has served well the building process: I have now a clear vision of the finished model. Just wait and see...
  13. Nice one! Those hubcaps indeed are from Jo-han 62 Dart.
  14. Thank you all! Been planning to build an AMT version next. It's molded in grey and in the past I tried to replicate stailess steel finish on it with testors steel but it didn't work. Maybe it would be best to apply bmf to body surfaces and then carefully sand it... What do you think?
  15. Outdoor pics:
  16. So this one is a Polar Lights 1/25 snap kit built as a box stock model. Body was " chromed " by manufacturer so all I had to do was to spray it with Tamiya flat clear and to do some fine sanding. Otherwise this was a quick two day- built. Thanks for looking!
  17. Street Fighter as a lowrider, scratchbuilt roofrack.
  18. Paint: Motip brownish kinda orange hue + Tamiya Pearl Clear + Tamiya Clear. Fast and simple build but fun to build! Questions and comments are welcomed!
  19. Thanks. I donated that Caddy to a Kustom Kulture Charity auction last winter so I think I just have to build another and almost identical one for myself someday. Almost means that this time I' go with radars and wide whites.
  20. Here´s mine: ´57 Flat Air: ´66 Kustom Kruizer:
  21. I´m still here, work taking too much of my time so no progress on my GMC Motorhome yet.
  22. I´m still here, nothing has happened to my GMC Motorhome since my last post. Sometimes life does get in the way. In my mind I have already planned all modifications needed so now I just have to build it.
  23. Sorry but we haven´t got any videos yet but I am planning to shoot some and share on youtube when we are having our next race on our model club. Last Sunday we held a test race at my place, you can find action shots from it on our FB- page. There were AMT Promo- based ´Vettes, an amt ´62 Buick and Monogram ´58 T- Bird on the track. If you are on facebook you can find lots of pics of these modelrally racers over there. Just search " malliralli " from FB. Malliralli = Modelrally in finnish. Those pages are in finnish put look at photos / albums on that page.
