  1. Thanks for your kind comments! I´ts not an amphicar nor boat. I´ts a hovercar, hovering just above the ground. No wheels, no landing gear, just antigravity system.
  2. Thanks! Removing strip form front doors was a simple but timetaking process. I used x-acto knive and simply scraped that strip away combined with some sanding work with fine grid sanding paper.
  3. In an alternative reality hover cars were invented in the thirties. This model represents a typical luxyry speedster from late forties. I must say that I am not at all satisfied how that clearcoating went on those wooden areas. Anyway, building this one was a great experience and I learned a lot. This is a scratcbuilt model, material is quite dense urethane called Sikablock, thin wood slices, aluminiun tubing and parts from various model kits and die cast models.
  4. Rest of the pics tell you the whole story: Yup, that´s a fuel cap on rivers side front fender. Interior is combination of Rambler and ´66 Malibu Street Machine parts + a little bit of Revell ´68 Dart and Monogram Blazer here and there. Thanks for looking!
  5. Hi. I build this one several years ago. As you can see the interior is not entirely stock. I also replaced those stock tires.. In fact, the whole frame and suspension parts came from Monogram Chevy Blazer kit... When looking at front this one looks a bit angrier than original. While side profile shows you a little bit raised ground clearance. Looking from rear... Underneath view reveals Blazer frame etc...
  6. Thanks guys! Those hood things are ju st a little custom touch.
  7. Hello again! I´ll post new pics of this one because I decided to add some more details into it: I added side windows and some underhood details. Thanks for looking!
  8. In Gotham City they are using whiteline- tyres only. At least in The Gotham City as I imagine it. One of the reasons I build mainly Gotham cop cars is that I can take certain liberties on color codes and details like tyres. As long as the overall effect is " realistic " it´s okay for me.
  9. In Gotham City they are .
  10. A Lindberg snap kit with few improvements: As always, comments and questions are welcomed. Thanks for looking!
  11. Thanks! This one made me want to try a similar paint job on a 1:16 scale Nomad. Maybe it will happen someday.
  12. Try it! I´ts not difficult, all it takes is time and patience.
  13. Thanks you all for your kind comments!
  14. Thanks guys! Doobie: I painted body with tamiya sprays. First I layed titanium gold, then lame flake ( which is really intented for lexan bodies but works on polystyrene also. You just have to remember it dries really slowly ). Next step was masking. Then I shot pearl white from greater distance to sides and hood, top and trunk centerline areas. Some masking job again and champagne gold areas were painted. I used formaline chrome tape to outline different painted areas. Next I grabbed my ink pens and started making lines and patterns, designing them on the flow ( and it shows I think. ) Next It was time to shoot some more lame flake, following with few coats of regular clear. Of course some careful sanding was some between all coats of paint. Robberbaron: Yeah I noticed that those bumper strips should be gray, it´s always useful to do your research when starting with new kit. I also separated headlights and grille from front bumper to make model look less toy - like. One thing that effects to the whole appearance was painting upper surfaces of bumpers body color as they are in 1:1 car. Here are some work - on - progress pics from interior: I used instruments from hasegawa ´66 Caddy decal sheet: Of course there should be full custom, long hair upholstery on a lowrider from this era but I thought I´ll make it more stock looking to make a contrast to custom paint on the body.
  15. Thanks guys! I think I´ll build bomb next...
  16. Revell snap kit. Tamiya metallic paints + tamiya lame flake + ink pens + formaline chrome tape. Pegasus tyres, pegasus + revell wheels. Lake pipes, rabbit ears tv- antenna, small TV etc. Here you go: Thanks for looking!
  17. Thank you for your comments!
  18. Hello! Here is my newest model: Aoshima Junction Produce Crown kit + AMT police parts, wheels and tyres and decals. Tamiya paint and some weathering. As always, questions and comments are welcomed. Thanks for watching!
  19. Nice to see your builds here, seen some of them in Swedish model car shows I think. I really like that ´51 Kustom. Mental Violet is something so unique and insane yet stylish!

  21. Hi! I´m Jarkko Antikainen, living in South - West Finland, near a town called Turku. Been here for a while now but just realised that haven´t introduced myself. You can find many of my models in " Under Glass ". I´m 44- years old and have been hackin´ plastic ( lately also resin ) since I was nine or something like that. Recently I´ve been building mainly lowriders, aircooled VW- stuff and low street cars intented for slow cruising in 1/25 or 1/24 scale. I like also kustoms and street rods much. I still build as often as I can and collect as much kits as I can, dont´n we all? We have local club were my buddy and I are teaching local children to build model cars. We also have FCMA, Finish Car Modellers Association for us Finns to continue our fine hobby ( or is it lifestyle ? ) My ten year old daughter builds also car models, mainly Revell kits. Visit our forum ( in Finnish of course but there are many pics in a topic called " Autot " ( = Cars ) and there´s also a topic called " English talk ". http://www.fcma.fi/FCMABBS/index.php I like this forum ´cause there´s always much new to see; high quality builds and creative new ideas. Keep the flame burning!
  22. Hi Juuso! I case you didn´t know there´s a Finnish forum also: http://www.fcma.fi/FCMABBS/index.php
  23. I really like that maroon and racing white color combo. All elements an parts used in this model results a magnifient, period correct but still unique masterpiece of plastic!
  24. Johan ´66 hubcaps fell quite easily in place into those wheels, they had right diameter. Careful placement while the whole thing was upside down and few drops of superglue did the trick.
