    There isn´t. The is not a single one 4x4 VW Bus kit available unfortunately. In Europe market that Vanagon is T23 and VW:s own name for 4x4 is Synchro.

    David.. Both Air - Trax guys, Tapani and Juha are my friends and i have many many examples of their kits on my stash.. The quality is really high so you really will get quality for every €, £ or $ you spend.

    Thank you David. I found out that best way to build this kind of kit is simply to put up an assembly line for various sub assemblies like those seats. In many building stages there were need for some series type repeating assembly work. I really am going to built similar bus for myself also in the near future.

    This one is an AMT Superbug gasser kit that I detailed a bit. Color is Tamiya pearl light green, wheels are Revell `49 Merc steelies with Polar Lights VW hubcaps and tyres came from modelhaus. Windows are made from acetate and the exhaus system from aluminium as well as hood support. And here are those pics:

    This one is a Hasegawa VW pritchenwagen ( pick - up ) from 1967. It was built almost box stock. Wheels are from AMT 51 Chevy with AMT winter tyres. I also lifted suspension a bit. I do not know what that gadget on the bed is, I found it from my parts box and it looks cool. On doors there are local weight numbers that were mandatory ( by law ) on pick ups here in Finland back then. Model has finnish licence plates and on the rear window you can see a 80- sticker that tells you that back then vehicle maximum speed was resticted to 80 km/h on pick ups.

    This was very time taking and in some ways a stresfull but also very rewarding build. I must say that although this kit is not for the faint - hearted it stil is fun to build in some twisted way.

    This one is slightly modified Tamiya 911 GT2 with spun aluminium hubcaps. Color is metallic orange, also by Tamiya.

    Thank you all! Haven´t been posting here for a while because been so busy with work and studies. I have been building though so I´ll post some new ones here in the near future.

    Insterad of door mounted mirrors there are two rear - looking cameras. The engine is scratchbuild.

    So here it an old MPC General Lee that I chose to rebuild as a modern day pro touring muscle car with a center - mounted electric engine and air suspension.... Pics:

    Hello again! Your Rocketwagen looks nice and that second bug is also coming along nicely in a classic cruiser style. My jet rod 37 ragtop Chevy project has suffered from too little time to build these days but maybe some day.. I have began to think if those scratchbuild engines I made are too big for 37 ragtop so it might be possible to get a bigger car for this project.

    So this is Tamiya GT3 kit that I build mainly in box stock style. Modifications include aluminium spun hubcaps that were make by a friend of mine and restyled rear wing. Idea was to create a slat flats racer- styled street legal sports car with local ( Finnish ) EU- plates. Color is Tamiya Blue Violet and decals are from different kits.

    I started schratching turbines for my '37: I used amt dagmars, amt 63 Corvette wheels, thimbles, some promo wheels with drilled out centers, white plastic tubing from childrens pen and star wars battle droid thing afterburner units. Lots of protective metal plating to be added but the basic stucture of engines is now there.

    Main parts for 37 chevy convertible engines have been found! Parts from star wars droid tri fighter engines, 63 Corvette wheels, some thimbles and some plastic tubing....

    Nice looking scratchbuild turbines on rocketwagen.. I will be using that AMT 37 Chevy ragtop then and it will be equipped with a sophisticated anti- gravitation device + powerful turbines. It will take a while for me to start this build though bacause I have to finish my current model project first.

    OK I have started searching a decent kit to start my Jet Rod build. So far have found only an AMT 37 Chevy Convertible model box including only body parts and interior bucket but I'd rather not use it because I don't want to copy your 37 Coupe build.

    Sir! Your Jetrods are simply stunning! They are pieces of great modelbuilding art and truly inpirational models. I agree that jetpunk etc. Would make an interesting community build.

    So this is my attempt to build Tamiya´s ´36 Toyoda AA as a ´37 Bagged lowrider bomb. Paint tamiya TS-11 Maroon, scratchbuild visor and many other small details, Modelhaus swamp cooler, AMT hubcaps with Pegasus wheels and tyres. I installed air bags front and rear and had to modify front section of the frame and oil pan to clear lowered and narrowed front axle. The air suspension is now supposed to be in its maximum lowlow posotion. Oh, I also decided to convert this to leht hand steering version. Pics:

    HI! This lowrider model is based on a 1/25 promo which had no information of model company that has made it. Promo was packed in white cardboard box with color prints of drawn pics of red Regal and large Buick- logos. Maybe it´s made by Brooklin or MPC or AMT... I don´t know. Same company has obviously made the Buick Reatta promo bcause it it so similar to this Regal. But on to model: I Disassembled the promo and painted it with tamiya paints. Body has: Surfacer white + Light pearl red + lame flake ( PS) + clear + metallic orange ( thin mist layers ) + clear Some modifications to rear subrame was done also and finally I added Pegasus wheels.
