A progress construction report. The walls are up, along with the windows. Side awning is installed, and lighting is being addressed now. I made a new counter for it, and booths have to be constructed yet. I was not impressed with the cardboard ones supplied. I will get pics later, as I have been at this sucker since 11:30 PM last night. Now time for a nap.

Congrats Bill on the loss. I had the same problems. Weighed in at 245 as a feshman in HS. At one time I was 385, but doing alot of manual labor so was somewhat fit. 9 years ago though I had the gastric bypass surgery, as dieting didn't work. Lost 198 lbs. I am currently back up to 205 which the doctor told me I would be eventually. Managing to keep it steady at that wieght. BTW I wore a size 5X shirt at one time.

Okay guys it's a new year and I finally talked myself into going to the shop. Things were piling up so had to clean a place for this one. This is just the basics of it, The parts are in the paint booth now, for the primer coat. here are a couple of mockup shots though. With 1/64th cars. ] 1/87th cars. The main building took the longest to do. The roof didn't want seal right, so I had to do some work on the corners of the building to get them looking good. This will be a slow build as I have a ton of cars to do yet for it. I know I have a 58 somewhere, so now I have to go hunt it down.

My daughter surprised me with this for Christmas. She figures if we are going to have a business we should look professional. She did the design from a idea I gave her.

Cant remeber who built it, but was a winner in the MOM contest.

I have the Hot Rod Girl on VHS great show. Fireball 5oo was a favoritew o mine. I also have the box set of all the Beach Party movies, with Frankie, and Annette.

Mine would have to be the Aurora Ram Rod. The one that kindof resembles the BB duece coupe. Over the years I built many of them as I always liked to look of this kit. This is my most recent from 20 years ago.

Not sure on this one, but I know you need to wet the other-reg. Gorilla glue to get it to work.

Dropped one in my lap one time. ONLY ONE TIME is all it takes. BTW it was close but no injury.

Yes it's true, they quit production a few years ago. I use the acrylic craft paints, they work good. Folk Art, Apple Barrel, etc.

I built one that is close to this one. Jimmy's GF's car.

Our LHS is great. he can order something for me on Monday, and I'll get it Friday. Also very knowledgeable in all the catergories he carry's. I shop at Hobby lobby, and Michael's also but only for paints( Craft acryllics), and basswood.

Woke up this morning to find another inch of this stuff. Seems like every other day here recently.

I got 5 days this week at school driving the campus route, then it's Christmas break so I will have afew days off till class resumes again.

Just learned yesterday of a giving tree for Senior Citizens. You pick a name with what they want and get it for them. I mentioned it to the wife, and we agreed that we will participate in this endevor. Yes I am also getting up into that age bracket, but still have family. I told my kids this year not to get us(wife, and me) anything but to get for each other instead.

Going to set my daughters BF up with a Cessna Plane kit, and the supplies to build it. if he gets this done, then I'll give him a car kit or two. For my wife I got here a I-Pad she wanted. The daughter is getting a replica build of a Karmen Ghia from the Pertty in Pink movie. It's a Gunze kit.

Mainly at my LHS, I can order it Tue. and it will be here on Fri. During the summer I scavenge flea markets, and garage sales. Also at various contests that have swap meets, and vendor rables.
