  1. 2nd floor wall mockup. Gotta have brass poles. The rear one will be in the bunkhouse area.
  2. Yeah and to think I got out of 1/25th because I got sick of detailing them!!!!!!!! This was easy for the office the one desk and table are kit items, the file cabinets are just pieces of plastic, and the console is a pic from Google, with a built base from Plastruc, and Evergreen. The windows shown were done with scrap pieces of food storage bags. These are the ones you seal and vacuum pack. I still have more details to add yet so stay tuned.
  3. Thanks Charlie, the Red Owl stores were fairly local in the tri state area. ND<MN< SD. The main warehouse was in Hopkins Mn. by Minneapolis. As for the pens they are Pentel Color Pen Fine point. I picked up a green, orange, gray, and a couple of shades of brown. Paid $1.19 ea. for them. Hope this helps out.
  4. Got the office furniture in. Some of the window treatment. With this I wont have to do too much to the 2nd floor, just a small area.
  5. Woke up this morning to find this in my driveway. Then all of a sudden. 5 minutes later!!!!!!!! Actually a new garage is going to be built. 4 stall, but bigger. Also my car is safe.
  6. Picked these up last weekend, I don't know if they work or not. Also don't know what scale they are but I thought they looked neat. Can anyone supply info about them?
  7. Needed second floor access so I built me a set of steps. Also got the walls of the office done. Notice my fancy gluing jig. Can't dispatch the trucks without a console. This is still a WIP.
  8. Got the inner walls done, and ready to go. The white area on the floor will be the dispatch office. With the 2nd floor in place. Still have a lot to do on this level yet. Looking in on 2nd floor.
  9. Here are some things I scored this weekend at a Flea Market. Auburn Fire Truck This is in relativity nice shape. Next a couple of Tootsie Toys. The USS Abraham Lincoln Carrier. And finally these Marx slot cars. They are a bit rough but interesting. Not sure of the scale, maybe 1/48th.
  10. Well I did get some model time in this weekend. Here is what I got done today. The first pic is the before. Notice the walls are bare. I cut some brick sheet to fit them. Then added some more floor joists to support the 2nd floor. May not be the most work done, but between cooking, and stuff I got a little done. Still have to work on the office area yet, and the stairway to the 2nd floor, and the pole.

  12. Here are the left over decals I have from the Red Owl build. They are 1/87th but can be blown up to whatever size you need. Would be good for a stock car build, or a commercial vehicle.
  13. Gonna put a cork in this one and call it done. I added another light to the interior so it shows better. Also detailed out a delivery truck. . Here's the pics. Like I said this is not a good neighborhood. Not even the delivery vehicles are safe from the graffiti artists.
  14. I don't do the evil bay thing, but with all of the re-issues coming out, the old kits have lost value I think.
  15. That one depicted all 3 of the movies.
  16. Thanks Foxer I also fixed it.
  17. Got my pics loaded here they are. http://s8.photobucket.com/user/mercman51/library/NNL%20North%202013?sort=3&page=1
  18. At the NNL in Mpls. I picked up these at the swap meet at the show this weekend. The Hudson, and Double Dragster kit I won on the raffle. 1/25th scale kits Misc. kits Event T-shirt This one really intrigued me. It's a Palmer kit. If you're familiar with the old pPalmer car kits you know what I mean. But upon inspection it looks like it should be okay.
  19. Got the inside done, added a light, but see I need another. Also I have to make up some window signs.
  20. Thanks for the info. I need to add some body damage but wasn't sure.
  21. Added another large scale build to the to-do list. The footprint on this one is 11-1/4x8-3/4" by 3-1/2" tall. The buses were in the sale catalof for $12.00 ea. Normally they are $25.00, so I stocked up, and bought 4 of them. Along with the others I have already I now have a small fleet.
  22. Like I said some changes have been made. First up new lighting, as the old light was just not right. Next we needed some shelves for the merchandise ( have to paint them yet), and a dairy case. Added some advertising to the walls. Somebody tried to break in so we had to board up one window. I told you this is a bad area of town. Also the staff is busy helping customers. Still more to come. So stay tuned.
