  1. My Bud logo is scaled at billboard size right now. I have more trucks yet so it's possible.
  2. I got this one in a trade about a year ago. I repainted it white, and added some details. You probably know where it will end up. The signs I made on the computer. All I have left to add is the air hose connections.
  3. Yeah I got to find me a 58 Chevy in 1/87th.
  4. Link to the pics. http://s8.photobucket.com/albums/a2/mercman51/Toppers%202010/?start=all
  5. "Hey Mister, can you help me out? I lost my ID, and was wondering if you would buy me a 6 pack?" This one will be added to the Drunken Leprechaun, display. All my builds are here. http://s8.photobucket.com/home/mercman51/allalbums
  6. http://www.streetsigngenerator.com/
  7. The interior is complete. To display the inside, and to keep dust and dirt off the top I come up with this. Glued a piece of clear plexiglass into some 3/8th channel. Then glued my original roof piece to a another section that will slide in and close it up. Next I had to tackle the lighting for the inside. The lights are dress pins, with a bead added to them for the fixture. The pool table light is a piece of plexi, that I shaped, covered with bare metal foil, and painted. Then I needed a jukebox so I made this. Also added doors going to the restrooms. Finally a shot of what may be going on outside. Just got to figure out the color of puke!!!!!!! Comments, or ideas welcome. Thanks for looking.
  8. Finally finished the interior. Here is the light bar for the stage. The bar in place. And a exit door. Just making a small adjustment to the roof, and it will be done.
  9. On the advice of a third party I did this to the hotel. Before After I turned the top 2 floors. Lots of possibilities for little scenes to go on here. Also adding these two buildings to the strip. I made a new roof for this one I just didn't care for the one in the kit. New roof. Kit roof. This is a AHM kit. Also adding this one this will be a off sale joint. Not sure yet about the 2nd floor. I cut open a door opening where a window once was. Have to make a outside stairway for it now. Thinking maybe a massage parlor.
  10. Okay guys here's a mock up of the possible layout. I found a couple more buildings to add to the scene, and am working on them now. This will portray the seedy side of town. I also have to add poles, lights, trash, some more people, and a fence by the tracks. There will be a lot of little scenarios going on in different locales. Also for some reason the pics got bumped. You can now see all of them here. http://s8.photobucket.com/albums/a2/mercman51/HO%20buildings/Lous%20Drunken%20Leprechan/
  11. Okay guys, finished the DJ booth. The microphone is a sequin pin, the records are just some heavy paper made with a paperpunch. The tone arms, are a staple cut in two, and trimmed to size. Here it is positioned, along with the lighting frame work.
  12. Here's the start of the DJ booth, then I have to do the lights for the stage.
  13. The crowd is beginning to gather.
  14. Okay Gentlemen, please put your hands together for Destiny. Our friendly wait staff is here to serve you. The crowd is starting to trickle in, still have to find someplace for them to sit. Also have to do the DJ booth. Opinions on it so far.
  15. I chuck mine up in a drill press also for slicks. For treaded tires, sand paper on the bench. To get the shine off the sidewalls I use a hunk of steel wool, and scuff them lightly.
  16. Brad Here is a link to all of the buildings I have going at the moment. http://s8.photobucket.com/albums/a2/mercman51/HO%20buildings/ Here's a interior of a barber shop I did. And a window shot of the same.
  17. Bob you'll love this. What bar isn't complete without one. To answer your queston tes it was a DPM kit. The Goodfellows Hall. I got it built, and painted, and just loped off the top floor. The interior work is fun.
  18. Didn't like the look of the old bar (prototype), so today I whipped this one up what do you think? Note the waitress station on the end, and whats a bar without a brass rail to rest your foot on. Still need to make some stools yet for it. They are next.
  19. Or you can make it whatever scale you need bu adjusting the size of the plastic strip.
  20. Heres what you need to do this. A green Sharpie, and the ribbing from Plastruc Metal Roofing #4521, or some small strip plastic. Color the plastic with the Sharpie, and cut into small lengths. I eyeballed these to look about right. Pics at the link. http://s8.photobucket.com/albums/a2/mercman51/Tutorials/Making%20Money/
