  5. Wanted to post that and see if the pictures came through ! Hopefully I will have product to sell by the first of the year. If things go well we are looking to follow Doug and add a new machine that can produce larger items. One aspect of all the advancements in tech is the affordability of 3D scanners. We hope to add a small unit to scan scale model parts and thus be able to replicate them. Randy
  6. Great thread Bill ! I had the good fortune to meet Bill (Ace) at the recent Southern Nationals show in Georgia. We were discussing this very subject as I had on display a 3D printed wire wheel in 1/24th scale. I then meet Bill C. and Pico who post on this forum. Bill C. has a store on Shapeways that features really nice stuff and he had his wonderful wire wheels with him. Pico is a very talented 3D designer and modeler who is great to talk with as he loves to share his knowledge ! My interest in 3D printing comes from wanting to produce items for my home based model car online store. As someone who is computer challenged in most areas, I knew I needed some help I meet my future business partner, Ricardo, at work. He is a talented young man who has his own home business and brings the necessary computer skills to our endeavor, I just give him money! I shared Doug's posts from a few months ago on the Wanhao D7 printers with him and we decided that this printer would be good for producing the small parts that will form the basis of my product line. We purchased 3 units and included the "box" on each so we weren't tying up Ricardo's home computer. The cost direct from China including shipping was $1600.00 Two of the machines will be producing goodies and the other machine is backup and parts. Ricardo modified the machine's top on one so you can see it print. I told Ricardo that if we could print a decent Borrani wire wheel we could probably print anything. This the latest effort printed at 20 microns.

  22. Hi Bruce, Glad I could help, that motor looks great my friend!! Stan, I do think the MasterClub line is a boon to modelers. While I love the RBMotion/T2M/Scale Hardware goodies and I will continue to use them in high visibility areas, the price point of the resin bits just makes sense for the majority of uses. Thank you for the update on Jeremy. Randy
  23. Will try to add some photos :)......
  24. Hi Folks, As always, a big thank you for all the support from you folks on this site. After a complete year this site continues to generate a large portion of the first visits to my store. A long awaited restock from Scale Production from Germany is here. There are some new wheel & tire sets along with the newest goodies from 'Mad Mike'. These include the GT40 Engine and Transaxle along with the new side draft Webers and restock of the down draft Webers. I have already fielded some questions on the motor set/carbs that I will also answer here. These products are the actual 'print' from the 3-D printer. They are a rather brittle resin that does require the modeler to remove the supporting structure. A pe saw and sanding work best. I had one instance of "chip out" on the part when trying to trim close to the part with nippers but not a big deal. Super glue is the choice for assembly. Primer and paint like normal. The GT40 engine/transaxle is designed as a replica of the real thing, not as a drop-in transkit for any particular GT40 model car kit. Other stock updates include more of the beautiful CNC machined rear dragster wheels from Futurattraction. I have expanded the MasterClub listings to include 2 styles of rivets. From HRM , the Chaparral w/t sets along with the Borranis, Rudge and Halibrand 6 spokes are in. Ferrari 330 P4 engines came in along with a couple of Cheetah kits and the IROC Porsche transkits. All the GT40 w/t sets went to folks waiting for them but more will be coming
