  1. Those are both terrific!
  2. In paint. This is the scoop that I decided on.
  3. Some not so good news . I lost all of the recent “ in progress “ photos of this project. It is near completion and in paint. I have changed out the engine from a small block Chevy to a Mopar wedge and decided to change the name of the car as well but I kept the spy theme. Next photos will be in the completed section very soon!
  4. It was great to see that Atlantis now has the Miss Deal tooling and the kit is available!
  5. I saw this at Chryslers at Carlisle. Great minds think alike!?
  6. This scoop is NOT working for me. Gonna have to find something else! Notice the radius rods. I dropped the car but caught it before it hit the floor . Unfortunately. I broke the plastic radius rods. Stainless tubing replaced the kit parts.I think that they actually look better. Happy accident?
  7. Cool project! Are you going to do a diorama with me at the microphone? ?
  8. Interior will be very spartan. Just a shifter and a few gauges
  9. Piecing together a roll cage. Not sure I like the way it’s going. May start over from scratch.
  10. I must have missed this one at first. Better late than never…. Awesome job! Looks great from all aspects!
  11. That’s because this car only runs in reverse!?
  12. Yes, I believe it ran in the Pacific Northwest.
  13. This is coming out very well! Decals look great!
  14. Chassis work continues: I fabricated these bars and I made some front shocks from aluminum tubing. Interior tub gets quite hacked up! Meet the driver! An Ulrich Mini man. These figures are posable. I drilled and pinned the joints to get him in the correct pose. By using pins, you can adjust all the joints.
  15. The very versatile Miss Deal chassis
  16. Used a Miss Deal chassis for the project. Funny how I’ve used this chassis at least 4 other times, yet I’ve never built one with the Studebaker body. Injected small block is perfect. Hood scoop choice is to be determined.
  17. How's this for inspiration? I thought that this car was absolutely insane! So, of course, I have to build it! Starting with a heavily damaged promo body, I'm underway!I have to cut out the hood. I moved the rear wheel openings forward to mimic the photos
  18. This was the MPC Kenz and Leslie kit from I don't know when. I started building it MANY years ago and got frustrated with a few things. Mainly the body and parts fit. I tripped across it a while back and decided to finally finish it. I'm glad that I did. It came out ok . I didn't go all out with the detailing but enough to get her done to my current level of satisfaction (low!) I made the decals using a new Canon (cheapo) printer and some old decal paper. They came out really well. I used BMF on the aluminum floor. Looks ok Big pictures show that I forgot do install the valve cover breathers. I'll get to that immediately!? THE END!
  19. Top notch replica!
  20. Well done!
  21. Yep, that’s exactly what happened! It was spectacular!
  22. I don’t think that I will ever come close to your ability but you have inspired me to keep trying!?
  23. THAT is a top tier build! Fantastic photos too! WF
  24. Thanks to everyone that replied! Very much appreciated ?
  25. That was the first race that I ever attended at E-Town. I remember that wheelstand vividly!
