I started on this one in 2017, but with all of my moving and changing jobs, I put it away for 7 years. I recently decided to go back to my unfinished projects and complete them all. Here is where I started: I wasn't satisfied with the poor fit of the "doghouse" to the windscreen (big gap) and the area above the injector was too tight, so I enlarged and reformed the "sheetmetal" engine cover.

Thanks! I've been using Tamiya TS 75 Champagne Gold for the vinyl parts and TS 46 Light Sand for the carpet area and headliner. Almost all of the factory A990 and AWB cars came with gold interiors. Only a couple were red. Some cars had black rubber floor mats while others had the tan carpets.

Can you imagine what would happen if they took the restraints off of Hoover? A close friend of mine worked for Ray Barton and got to speak with Hoover on a regular basis. Awesome stories and wild ideas!

I found that kit a bit difficult. you did a good job!

That is a show winner right there!

Better L/S photo with a door handle. You have to be really careful with these as they are quite flimsy and will either break or disappear forever into the carpet! I bought a handful of resin door handles for replacements.

Can't get enough of these Moebius '65 Plymouths! This one was sort of a "get back into the hobby" deal. Started on it a few months back but I wanted the correct paint color (Ford poppy red). Ordered the bottles from that famous paint guy , Took forever so I had a body shop supply company put some in a spray can for me. It is amazing! Two part paint and clear. Decals are Slixx. It went together so well that I' building a few more SS and AWB cars. The big photos show me a lot that I can't see ! Gotta hook that upper radiator hose back up!

Absolutely gorgeous! Great paint and decals. The stance is perfect! However! Me being a stickler for accuracy and an NHRA tech inspector for over 30 years, I gotta tell you that the Demon ( with that engine and hood) would not be classed as a Super Stock car. Non original engine and hood scoop would put that car in Modified Production or a Gas class. Regardless, its a really nice looking car!

Clean machine! That kit was one of the first drag cars that Inbuilt as a kid about a century ago! PS : For future reference. Sanctioning bodies only allowed non factory tint on the side and rear glass, not legal on the windshield.

Neat build! Always loved modified Corvettes

I had a centerfold pic of this car on my bedroom wall! Good job

Another museum quality build by Scott! ?

I Love this build for a couple of reasons. First : Your detailing is way above par. I'm sure that you really enjoy fabricating all of the cool parts and attempting to make everything as realistic as possible. Second : That car was local to me. I would often see that car and other B&R sponsored cars at NY National when I was younger (much). B&R is still in business and operating as an auto parts store in Mineola Long Island! Keep up the great work! WF

Progress on the '64 Dodge sedan: Interior from Johan and Lindberg kits Chassis is almost complete . Also from Lindberg Paint goes on! Tape comes off!

Someone asked me the other day “Do you build anything other than old Mopars?” My answer was “Why would I wanna do anything else?”

Thanks! I finished two of those this weekend. One is waiting for final decals and another will post later today.

This is an oldie. Dug it out of storage and patched it up a bit. Some decals had dried up and blew away and the BMF is showing its age and needed repair. It’s a weekend warrior from the 70’s when Modified Production may have been contested at a local track.

I like that! What did you use for donor parts?

Super nice job!

The Dodge 330 at the top is also a roof splice. Johan never made a '64 sedan body but they did make a '63 , soooo
-
Did you notice that it's a sedan and not a hard top? I spliced two Moebius cars together . It was actually less work than it would take to make a resin body look right.

Thanks. I hate body work! ? Takes too long!
