  1. Thx. Dave, As far as paint, i have decided it won't have the big trim in the back. i have seen 1:1 promods like this and it looked fine. For colors, I have German silver, white, red and black in mind. Just not sure on what's going where and which ones i'm using lol.
  2. Thx. LOL., I'm working on it, i havet he Bull horns painted just witing for them to cure so i can attach the V-bands.
  3. Thx. Greg, I'm trying hard and it frys my Brain once in a while lol.
  4. Great stuff Bill, Nothing wrong at all with the way you did the strut mounts. They turned out nice.
  5. My 1/16th BAE turbo hemi, not finished yet.
  6. Thx. so much guys especially coming from 2 great builders such as yourselves. Thx. for the help again Clay i can't thank you enough. Couple more pictures just for fun. I have the other side roughed in so now i can get to finishing them.
  7. Thx. Mike, I agree about the turbos , I wanted to put them out front but didn't think I could fit them originally .
  8. Thx. Bill, I appreciate it coming from s talented builder such as yourself.
  9. Thx. Ted, I knew I wasn't going to be able to get the hole nice like I wanted it, so I cut the rod down short hollowed it out some then glued a short section of tube on top, you can see the seam where I joined them. I will put a weld decal over the seam. Hope to finish up both sides this week, need to make the O2 sensors that go on them also.
  10. Thx. Tyrone, means a lot coming from a great builder such as yourself, I learned a lot watching your builds and it pushes me to make mine as nice and detailed as yours.
  11. Thx. Guys, were gonna roll with it. i cut the end and glued a section of tube on the end and drilled out the lower some, once painted black inside i think it will look good. I put a coat of primer on it to how it looks., the door even opens lol.
  12. Thx. Rick, You can see in this picture the front clip where the exhaust exits is a slot for front end removal.
  13. Thx. Guys appreciate it. So i played hookie from work today and figured while i was home i would mess with the car some. I had to thin the hood portion of the front clip to fit because my intake sat to high, I had just enough to make it work. It was getting scary thin, Hope the mag clears lol. I have never been a big fan of the Bull-Horn exhaust outlets and would never put them on my 1:1 drag car but i have never seen Bull-Horns on a model drag car yet, I know i seen some pics and Dave(comp1839) was messing with it for his outlaw car, But for some reason i just like them on here and i think i'm going to run with it instead of the flush mount exhaust. Biggest pain is going to be trying to drill out that rod for the outlet. I may shorten it a little so it is closer to the car. Give me some feedback.
  14. Thx. Dave. Ok i was able to get alot done this weekend. The headers and supports are on for good, When i was Doing the decal's for the headers i left a tube loose on the passenger side and when i reglued it i didn't get it exactly where it was before so now that turbo is a little further away from the firewall then the driver side, no biggie just buggs me lol , I also got the intake with the throttle cable installed. I got the cold side for the turbos all roughed in, Where you see the aluminum tube that will be where the V-band clamps go and i will also have some down where the tubes connect to the turbo's. I was also able to get the wheelie bar installed for good. Just waiting on the Mag and fuel pump from Jim.
  15. Awesome stuff Bill, Really dig the strut setup.
  16. Amazing stuff Mark, wish i had the talent and capabilities to do that stuff.
  17. Thx. For the kind words guys, It's turning out way better than I thought it would.
  18. Little update, Been doing some work here and there on the intake and assembled the wheelie bars. I did the bars Matte black and used RB motion rod ends for the connections and i'm using a Micro Nitro wheel. I built a throttle body and added linkage and some detail bolts, Still need to paint the TPS on the top of it and add wire. I also made the Main connection to the throttle body and very happy with the way it turned out, It to will receive weld decals. I plumbed the fuel rails with RB motion fittings and ProTech line and made the fuel log at the front of the intake that will get connected to the pump. I still have to make 6 V-band clamps for all the connections. I should have the headers mounted this weekend and maybe even have the turbos connected to the intake.
  19. Ted's modeling carries The protech line of parts and has fast shipping. http://www.tedsmodelingmarketplace.com/
  20. Look great so far nice work. Yes you can do that intake setup and people do it. There is an N/A (naturally aspirated) class in drag week. You can do the turbo or supercharger also, They have all kinds of different classes.
