Nice work on the axle Dave, For the rear fenders, What if you section them so the radius is closer to the body making them shorter? -

Prostreet replied to Prostreet's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Thx. Guys, Got some more done tonight. I have to do the chassis a little different than a car do to the cab, I found some really good ref. pictures of a prostock truck chassis so that is what i'm going by. I had to change it some due to the fact that this is a step side, Once i get my parts from Scott for the 4 link i can finish the back of the chassis. I put an order into megahobby for another engine and tires since i have no idea when my other stuff will arrive. I'm really surprised how fast i'm able to get this chassis together, I guess it's from building the 1/16th chassis. I'm really enjoying building the 1/25th chassis's now that i have it figured out. Picture of the 1:1 setup. -

That is going to look sick when done Dave, Has a great stance. Only thing i don't dig about it is the length of the rear fenders off the back, is there going to be a filler piece in there ? -
66 Chevy Pro Mod Drag truck (6-16-13) More chassis work

Ok fellas, I decided to give it another shot and i'm having some good success so far. I'm using a metal plate with magnets to hold my chassis in place while i work on it which helped alot. The interior area is so small being a truck, Not sure if the doors will get opened due to the fact the bottom of the door line is really close to the rocker and the bottom of the body is wedged. The front end will definitely be removable though, Can't go to much further without the engine and rear tires. With the scale dreams debacle i'm not sure when i will see them so i need to find another place to order a Ross engine and pegasus rear tires. I have some parts coming from Scott for this build, I also have a Comp resins GXP body coming to do a sportsman build or maybe and ADRL prostock car. -

Great stuff Tyrone, You have a PM -
I don't even know why i'm answering this after what i previously stated at the end of my other post, i guess to humor you. I need them move ahead on my build, With that said i will just order more and have extra whenever the others show. sorry i ruffled your feathers, and yes i have had to make life altering decisions in my life before. I have nothing further to ad to this thread.

I have been dealing with him for a while also. Really no need to go there and get anything started.

I didn't get this today, Got it months ago before i hurt my hand at work. My hand is finally good enough for me to ride so i have been out getting it dirty. Couple pictures of my 2013 Specialized Camber Comp, I changed the bars to Race Face Turbines and the seat to a WTB Pure-V. I changed it from a 2x10 to a 1x10 using a Wolftoothcycling 32 tooth chainring. So Far love the gearing and the way this bike ride.

66 Chevy Pro Mod Drag truck (6-16-13) More chassis work
Prostreet replied to Prostreet's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
It's all good fellas, I can do regular 1/25th stuff. But trying to build the tube chassis is just to much, Maybe give it shot later on down the road some time with a car instead. For the next 1/16th build i have 3 projects in mind right now. Willys promod , TDR 69 camaro promod or a Comp dragster. I really want a new style camaro promod body but there aren't any out there yet. -

Well unfortunately I'm not going to continue this project, I have been trying to do the chassis and everything is just to small and tight for me with my shaky hands. I'm going to put it up on eBay with all the stuff that I bought to go with it and put that money into the 1/16th project. Hopefully I will start that project soon. -
Joe, sent you a Pm.

Looks great, you do some very nice work.
