Thx. for all the help and info guy, Clay Kemp was checking out my thread and seen the problem i had and was kind enough to email me an offer ways to fix it and i can't thank him enough for that. I ended up going back over the headers with a light mist oh the Alclad high polish and went darker in some areas. They look way better now and exactly like i wanted them to look, I wanna go back and hit a couple of the radius's and make them a little darker tint of the yellow and hit the welds with a little more of the high polish. Not sure what i wanna do about the black that are around the welds like in the 1:1 picture. I will get some better pictures of the header on the engine this weekend, they look way better in person. Very happy now and back on track.

Thx. for the help guys. I do have some hot metal blue, I was thinking i could hit the welds and radius's lightly with that. I also have some Pale Burnt Metal coming, Not sure what that looks like yet, and i have some semi-matte clear also. I only use a single action brush and it's crappy, Any recomendations?

Thx. Guys, Well stage 2 didn't go as i hoped. There to dark and look to gold, Not really sure what i can do about that at this point. I was thinking maybe hit them with some dull coat would help, not sure what to do to the welds either. Any insight or ideas from you guys would be cool, I should have left them the polished color. If i have to strip them i'm sure they will get messed up, Might have to toss this in a box and let it sit for a while.

Little update, I have the decals on one header. Tommarrow night i will give it a light coat to seal the decals before paint and start doing the decals on the other header. I also mounted my MSD box on the frame with a piece of styrene with carbon decal and dzus fasteners from Scott and the main plug that all the wires will run to on the firewall, I still have to scratch build a coil and a MSD Mag, i also have a resin fuel pump i want to start on so i can complete the fuel system. Here's a couple pictures of the headers with the decals before prime them.

Thx. Jeff, I have a couple paint questions guys. I want to do my headers to look like an even dark stainless color like in the pictures i posted, I'm going to use gloss black as the base then use Highly polished aluminum Alclad then hit that with Transparent yellow Alclad, Looking at one of Clay Kemps Tutorials that should give me the look i want. I noticed around the welds it looks blackish, What would be the best way to achieve this? I was thinking an acrylic black wash? but can i put that under the transparent yellow alclad?

Little update, I haven't been doing much to this lately. Just haven't been motivated, So this week i got a little done. I built a new RacePak dash, The one i did before just didn't do it for me. This one was built i 2 pieces so the screen would sit down in the unit like the real one does, i added a clear piece of plastic for the screen but it is hard to see in the pictures. The base i added carbon decal and Futraction Dzus fasteners and a line for the cable out of the back that goes up under the dash. Hope to get back on track this weekend.
