I agree -
P.S.. I can tell you anything you need to know about automotive paints but I am a novice when it comes to model paints. I have tried them and cannot figure how you guys are getting a great finish with them. This is why I try to learn more about model paints.

Hello 2zwudz, sorry for the slow response. Dealing with some health issues. The paint is a automotive water borne paint with a urethane clear. I painted a Toyota 2000GT twilight turquoise. I added some blue toner with a dash of blue pearl and this was the result. The side cast reflects the blue pearl really well. I have the luxury of being able to paint with automotive colors since this is what I do for a living. Here is the Toyota . So you can see the difference. The clear coat is sherwin Williams HPC 15 . It is very thin. Not thick like some urethane clears. So it is in scale. But remember to mask up when you spray this. It is very bad for you. Do not spray this in your house even with a booth. It is very bad stuff for your health. Hope this helps.

Here are the first packs of DeAgostini and Agora models super snake. The kits look the same. That is great as the DeAgostini kit is fantastic! . Liam White brought the GT500 to DeAgostini. The super snake is a one of a kind car. Has the same motor as the 7 liter ford GT of 1967 Mk 4. Sold for 2.2 million. I expect the super snake model to be just as great as the other kits he has made for DeAgostini.

1/8 DeAgostini Ford GT. Arriving soon. My first pack will arrive in about a month. Here are a few pics of the prototype.

I am also doing this kit. I received the first pack. It is pre painted and looks great. Liam White is the founder of Agora Models. He was part of the DeAgostini/model space company. He brought the 1/10 Toyota 2000 GT and the GT 500 to DeAgostini. The first pack is great. Top quality and fit is the best. If you want to super detail the kit,It would be out of this world. I did the Toyota 2000 GT , repainted it and built it out of box and it came out great. Liam makes a great model. The Toyota GT ( DeAgostini-Liam White model) will be in the other mag , under “ one great model” article in April. These kits are very expensive but if you can swing it, do at least one. Too cool to pass up. You only live once.

Offbeat Places You Have Purchased Model Kits?
Brudda replied to Casey's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Went to a antique store and there were several collections of plastic. Bought several jo-han kits for $15 each and a union model ford mk 4 for $20. Sometimes they do not know what they have. Oh and a revell 1970 Torino cobra for $10 -

I’m just a guy that got lucky, . Right place at the right time. My friend Mark from DeAgostini knows a lot of people in the model industry. Especially from over seas. When Liam White from the new( Agora model company) e-mailed to ask if I would build the Shelby Super Snake I was very surprised. He is introducing the model in the USA. Just lucky and I said yes I would like to build it. Keep you guys posted on that one also.

I recieved a Toyota 2000 GT from them. 1/10 scale. So when I received the second call it was a surprise to say the least. These are the pics they sent of the prototype. Looks pretty good. Cannot wait. The USA distributor is a good friend of mine.

I just recieved a call from DeAgostini. They asked if I would like to build the new 1/8 ford GT. Of course I said yes! Will keep you posted.

Hello Chris! I cannot change the color because it is for Liam White , the owner of Agora models. Might add some detail but that is it. I believe the 500 will be just as great as the DeAgostini Toyota since he was the person who brought the Toyota to model space. His attention to detail is what makes these so good. And attention to quality is second to none. This will be fun.
