Put the flathead motor mounts in. The top loader fits nicely. A lot of room for the radiator , fan and hoses. The motor fits up against the firewall . With the flush firewall gives a little more clearance. Have to make headers. Modified the trans mount. Things are going nice so far. I moved the front crossmember forward a little. A longer wheelbase.

Has anyone built the 1/8 monogram jaguar? Is it a good kit? Are there any detail sets for it?

A few days ago I bought a pacer, hemi under glass and a 1/8 scale monogram jaguar. Traded the pacer with Slusher. Anyone put the jaguar together? Please tell me about it. Thanks

Thank you 1930 ford pickup. I’m going to put wire in the rocker panels. A lot of stress there. Removed the stock motor mounts. Putting motor mounts for the flathead. And a trans mount. Fitting for driveshaft. Cut out the grill. Going to use a photoetch grill. Filled the floor notches for the side panels. Just fitting and cutting and sanding. Was trying to do this before our weather gets bad. I will be ready to prime and paint next week. Snow is predicted for that time. Figures, Still looking for a color. Maybe maroon. I still do not know

Oh yes sir! This is what I do for a living. Repair corvettes. At a Chevy dealer. Measure lot and cut once. Frame is all aluminum. Doing a section. The pic is a 2017 corvette convertible.

Thank you lowlife. Thank you David G. Thank you mod3l Lover. And Claude that is a beautiful car! Here is another pic of the seats temporarily in the car. I really do not know how this will turn out. Just doing a little at a time. The chopped top was a first for me, then I opened the doors , another first. So a lot of first time things going on here. Hence , I do not know how this is going to go. In modeling , things can go bad real fast. Still have more modifications on the floor.

Opened up the cowl. Have to be careful . Without doors things get very fragile by the windshield posts and rocker panels. Cut the firewall and glued it flush. Changes the interior floor . Keep fitting and sanding. Bomber seats will look good. Still in limbo about the color.

I just had to look again and again at the pics of this truck. Several years ago a was elected to be a head judge at a IPMS event in the Bay Area. I would pick this truck as “ Best Automotive Subject” . It is that nice!! Great job. Just had to take another look at this beautiful truck. -

My friend Mark tried this stuff. I ordered it from amazon. Not really expensive. Just apply like alclad . Base black with this over it. He says it’s a little stronger than alclad. We will see this weekend. I have a 32 ford I’m having trouble deciding a color. Might use this and see if it will work. It might work for you.

I am trying to do this kit also. Tough kit. I noticed adding material to the bottom of the doors. I will be watching and learning. Cool build and great subject.

Thank you Bruce! They came out great! They look real with a little overspray. I watched a Goodyear guy in the pits and he was spraying “Goodyear “ on the tires. I will send the stencil back. Can you PM me with your address because I cannot make out the return address on the envelope. Thank you again!!!
