Hello Ray. I have a DeAgostini GT 500 for parts. I guess the agora kit and the DeAgostini kit are mostly the same molds. I have took apart the DeAgostini kit and am going to repaint that body so I do not ruin the agora body. In 1967, the color choice was not the best. So I’m kind of stuck if I want to build a stock one. Gotta think about this. Lordairgtar is right, the engine is toy like and needs a lot of modeling help, maybe even a few parts from shapeways. The transmission in this car is really toy like also. I reworked the doors so they fit and open better on the DeAgostini body. Figured if I ruin a body , might as well be on the DeAgostini body. Your cobra is a much better kit. Everything fits good with no headaches. . What I do like about the Shelby mustang , DeAgostini and Agora kit is that they got the overall shape right, the nose especially.

Inventory the parts. Have been looking at the other 1967 Shelby colors and I am not impressed. Not going to paint another red car. I might scotch brite the white finish and reclear with automotive urethane clear.

Just received this . 1/8 Agora supersnake. My completed one went to Shelby American. I get to do anything to this one. I have a wrecked Shelby GT 500 also. I’ll mix it up and see what we come up with. I will change the color. Will detail it also. I like the freedom to change things up. Here we go…….

The interior of the 166. My least favorite thing to do on a model car. Made templates from tamiya tape. Had some carpet left over from a mfh cobra. Surprised it came out. Now the sears. With Chris Smiths and Marks help, maybe I might have a chance of doing this without messing up.

This is super cool!!! My aunt had one, and I loved that car. Great job and love how you are building it.

Well fitting again. Body on, fitting seats. Fitting spare tire and gas tank. Some things fit and some do not on a mfh kit. Always checking and watching for mfh surprises.

No worries. The truth is that I was going to paint the covers wrinkled black, but my friend said I should take a look , at the internet pics , and I was surprised what I saw.

This is what Mark gave me today. We had a meeting and lunch for DeAgostini. It’s a Shelby GT 500 that’s been abandoned. The customer just gave up on her. Needs several parts. Really important parts. Hope I can find them. But another 1/8 kit. I have no idea where I am going to put it. Been putting them in my daughters room. Since she’s off to college, I can put them in there for now. But anyway here are the abandon pics.

The rear suspension installed and extremely modified. The tires sit too far back in the wheel house in the rear. So modifications had to be done. Like to fit this stuff on these mfh kits because even they are really expensive does not mean things will fit. I know, for the price it should fall together, but they do not. But it is comming out. Here is the car and the stance. A true mock-up with the suspension on the car.

Hello Ray! Hey I’m going to paint Marks cobra. Going black, and he is going to put the stripes on it. I guess flat black stripes. Send you pics when we start it. It’s been stripped of paint and primered. We found out ( after building several) that the steering assembly by the firewall may need to be drilled. On the steering colum. Some steering pieces have not been drilled for the screws. So inspect the steering shafts and do the proper drilling before installing. Will save headaches later. And thank you sir.

Was at my friend Mark from DeAgostini. Had lunch and he had this beat up GT500 . A 1/8 Shelby GT500. It was a person who gave up on it. So Mark have it to me to do with what I want. Going to see if I can salvage it. If not, it’s a great parts car.
