  4. Here is the front leaf spring. Have to readjust my eyes.
  5. Did a little more painting. So far this model is fun.
  6. Thank you sir. Rear taillight issue fixed, thanks to you! Honestly I did not even see it. But you did and I have received a great deal of kits because of that.
  7. Hello Depate, have fun with it. Atlantis hopefully worked out the body issues. If not , your a modeler and will make it work, I have a 1955 early revell kit with opening everything and it has flash and every problem a model car can have but I would like to detail the heck out of it and build it some day. Good luck and show us the kit when you get it.
  8. Hello Jantrix, my credentials are I have been in the automotive repair trade since 1969. I have worked at several dealerships and now work at a Chevy dealer. And I have lived in Idaho Falls for several years. The best time of my life. Maybe even move back there someday. My car of choice would be a Toyota. You live in a remote area sounds like. Congratulations, this is what most people would love. I would! In my experience they are the most reliable. Other cars would have the same problems with the suspension, because of your drive. But the suspension is a lot cheaper than say a transmission or engine. My personal cars are a corvette, explorer, Toyota Sequoia, Honda Civic , 1965 mustang, 1970 barracuda,1970 challenger . So I have many different makes, so I am not biased. I have noticed on my jeep that the suspension is durable. Example is that on the brake caliper, the bolt is 19mm on the jeep to the explorer’s 15mm. My Jeep Grand Cherokee is a great car but it only gets 15 mpg. It’s a 1999 with 60,000 miles it has the Mercedes 4.7 V8 with full time all wheel drive. So as not to confuse you any more, a Toyota would be my choice. Good luck on your choice.
  9. Yes absmiami, I have done the research and the covers were not black. They were raw aluminum. As were most of the other parts. The mags in the mfh car have them in the front but in some photos like yours , they were mounted in the rear. I do not know the reason for that. Thank you sir.
  10. Hello peteski, I like 1/25-24 the most. I did a 1/43 Ferrari Dino years ago. But it did not have a engine. I kind of fell into big scale a few years ago with my friend Mark. He needed someone to make kits and I was available at the time. He Works for DeAgostini USA. Did a Toyota 2000 gt( remember the lens was crooked and you helped me with that) and things kind of took off.
  11. Hello Peteski, it’s the metal. I polished the parts and this is what I ended up with. In person it looks polished. And the rough texture is not present. The pics really make it look rough. Smallest Ferrari i have worked on. Mfh kits are time consuming. My friend Phil calls them (time suckers). Good detail but it does take a lot of time. ( One of my things I do , is I take pics of the model in various stages and look at the pics for flaws. ) This works very well if you want to put the model in a contest. What I have so far.
  12. Great job sir!!! To even finish one is a major accomplishment. Yours is beautiful. Work of art.
  13. Cannot wait. Going to be a great show. People are fantastic, vendors are fantastic.
  14. Wired the engine. Took a few hours to do.
  15. Wired this Ferrari V12. It’s so small that it took several hours to do.
  16. Our club build is ( build a mustang) we had a camaro build several years ago. I always wanted to do this car, a 1966 Shelby convertible. There were only 6 originals made. Need two kits to pull this off. Here is the very simple mock up.
  17. Thank you Tim. A very big challenge.
  18. Picked this up at our model meeting by last night. For $5
  19. I really like the new kits. The 442 seems interesting. I work at a Chevy dealer and this young kid comes up to me and says he wants to restore a old camaro. So I’m thinking .. maybe a 67 -70. But he said a 1986. At first I was shocked but to him 1986 was a long time ago. So what I think is a old classic, it’s different in a young persons eyes. So I believe revell hit the mark with their kits. These are old classics in a young persons eyes. Do you really feel old now?
  20. Love it!!!!!
  21. By the way , I really love that 308 also. Another pininfarina beauty
