  1. I just broke my keyboard in half when my jaw hit it. Man, this is some killer scratchin' Keep at it and am glad to hear you're just hitting your groove.
  2. Man this will be killer. You know me, John, I love the polished aluminum. The bleachers here are sure getting crowded, there's hardly a seat left in the front row. Glad I got here when I did.
  3. Simply outstanding John. I don't know what else to say.
  4. Well? Its now after 8pm and still no update? I'm on the edge of my seat and will continue to be until an update is forthcoming and my butt's falling asleep. So how did I miss it was your b'day? Happy belated birthday, bud.
  5. How kewl is that!! I LOVE vintage trailers. I'll be keeping an eye on this one. Makes me want to get back to mine. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=48138&hl=
  6. Simply incredible scratching mate. Each post is a grand statement of your fantastic scratch-building skills. I'm on the edge of my seat for the brakes.
  7. Having not built any of these chassis either, it does seem to be a black art to me as well Terry. I love the fact that all of this is scratch-built and is unique to each body style for fit and placement. Makes it all that much more interesting and jaw-dropping. Nice work Wayne.
  8. Awesome job Ed and congrats. How about a few pics with the body on? Also, how did you display it for the judges; body on or off?
  9. That shift box, as well as everything else, looks fantastic John. I don't know how your chassis stay so clean with all of the handling it takes. my chassis always seems to get thin paint or, at a minimum, the paint gets dull.
  10. So glad to see some progress on this Chris. Motor mounts look right and will look even better with a bit of trimming. Looking forward to more updates.
  11. Yup, sorry I missed it too. Looks like a good showing.
  12. You're making some good progress Jeff and am anxious to see more. Here's a couple of shots of my dio that was done a number of years ago. It was a lot of fun to build and I may do another one in the future.
  13. Ouch!! I hope its all salvageable.
  14. Every bit of this build is stunning Tyrone. Nicely done and I can't wait for more.
  15. Great to see you have returned and love how this build turned out. I don't know what you originally had planned for decals but these came out great. Welcome back and glad to see this one finished. Great to see you've returned and kept right on building.
  16. I just found this thread and I'm in awe. John - you never cease to amaze me with your ability to find some new subject matter as well as your amazing talent. Just curious, do you plan on spelling Fort Lauderdale correctly or matching the truck lettering?
  17. Out freekin' standing!!! I was wondering when we would be seeing an update on this one. Looks great Wayne, dang straight!
  18. Yup, those slicks are huge. I originally thought you'd never get them under that body but you proved me wrong and I'm thrilled they fit as this build is outta da park. Keep at it and sending us updates.
  19. Those filters and the whole assembly look perfect. Also glad to see you put some of that printing plate to good use.
  20. Great to see you back at the bench Chris. Every little detail is an accomplishment.
  21. I would have done the same thing Rom. As you know, I love a good dio and nothing makes a model stand out better than an appropriate background. The yellow walls are a bit surprising though.
  22. Great googly moogly!! That is looking awersome. It looks so clean and fresh. I'm all eyes on this one.
  23. This looks like a fun build to do. Hope that's your plan.
  24. Try holding the rod along side the candle flame as opposed to over it. Go in slow and keep trying to bend it so you'll get a feel for how far away from the flame works best.
  25. I totally agree. Your build as well as us will be here when you're back at it. Hope all works itself out and goes smoothly.
