  1. Thanks Bill and Adam. This is 1/25th scale.
  2. Thanks John, Tyrone, Chris and Greg. A bit more to do yet. Next is a windshield and I'm looking around the shop looking for something suitable to use. Ha, found it. Stay tuned...
  3. So what's your source? Is it a vendor?
  4. WhooHoo!! I'm in. Who else?
  5. Oh I wouldn't miss this one, not at all. If you see a tall, fat, grey haired guy with wire frames and a mustache, come up and introduce yourself. LOL
  6. I'm so stoked and can hardly wait although I have a few finishing touches to do yet.
  7. Seeing one of your builds from the beginning with details explained and step-by-step photos is truly a treat. Thanks Clay for taking the time and I'm all eyes on this one.
  8. I've been weak kneed from when I saw the body and just thinking how its gonna look once Tyrone does his magic.
  9. I still can't believe you're doing these in Corel. Nice work.
  10. Fandamntabulous ! I'm just getting into this thread and wow Greg, you're flying now. Every bit of this build so far is stunning and it looks as though another convert to 1/16th scale is pushing his skills set even further. This will be a blast to follow. Probably almost as much fun as building it.
  11. A bit more done tonight and my to-do list is finally shrinking. The roll bar padding is done I used shrink-wrap tubing by slicing it on the underside and twisted wires to hold it in place. Only a few more items on my list to go.
  12. Thanks for the comments guys. This would be a fun ride but I'd need a seat belt and a roll bar to burn some serious rubber.
  13. Skip the yard work, you'll just have to do it again next week. Get back to the bench. Awesome work Tyrone.
  14. Oh yea!!! That is one spectacular looking chassis Chris. A huge milestone in my book. Now onto the engine, the fun stuff.
  15. Thx guys. I built this so many years ago and it was finished. I entered into a local IPMS contest in 1984 and took Best of Show over planes, armour and other cars. I'm still amazed. I just decided to repair it after being stored and moved around for all these years. This is a 1/25th scale build.
  16. I did this build 25 years or so ago and recently pulled it out of storage and decided to repair and update it. Its now finished and the upgrade included new paint, taillights, new air cleaners and an updated license plate. The original 25 year old build has a brass frame, removable dipstick, working rear suspension and functional U joints. I couldn't help myself on the personalized plate.
  17. John - I used white thread and the threads go into a piece of black tubing that was wrapped with a chrome piece of twist tie with the wire removed. On the other end under the car, the threads stop short of the end of the wrapped tubing so that another piece of tubing that has threads that go to the rear end can slide into it snugly for removal when I want to take the body off the chassis. Refer to one of the photos from a few days ago.
  18. The Willys pickup is too far from done to be rushed into completion, so its back to the details on this as well as my 'T' bucket and sprint car. All three will be ready for DSC this Saturday. I'm really looking forward to seeing a number of you this weekend and seeing some high quality builds too. Stay tuned for the last few Fiat details.
  19. Glad we had a chance to chat yesterday and happy to see those last couple of tabs done and in place. So is today Primer Sunday?
  20. Chassis rookie??? It wouldn't appear so. It's looking great and you're really progressing right along on this.
  21. Great build so far and I too like you choice of colors on the engine, chassis and interior. So what is it about this kit that's caused you issues?
  22. Still a few minor things to do yet on this but I'm now concentrating my time on my '41 Willys pickup gasser. I've a long way to go on it and DSC is coming up quick.
  23. Hey Tyrone, get me a width for the decal as I'm working on a source to print it. Keep your fingers crossed.
  24. Oh yea!! Another epic Tyrone build in the making. I'm glued to my seat for this one and it'll even have a blower. I really like the looks of that sleek and swoopy FlashPoints body and especially the hood.
  25. Amazing, simply amazing in every detail.
