After reading the first post, I was going to post a few pix of Darryl's shop that I absconded but he beat me to it. So much to look at and well worn. It is absolutely my favorite shop build and it only has two walls.

Great thread topic and even better pictures. I built a shop dio a number of years ago and felt it really needed a few poeple in it to help tell the story. The trouble light just wouldn't be the same without someone on the creeper and every shop office needs an office girl behind the desk.

Here's a couple more pix of my diorama. Some of the scratch built items include the dyno, wash sink, water cooler, blue cabinet with the partially open doors, pegboard, office counter, cash register and aluminum chair in the office. Two of the shelving unit upstairs were built to the same proportions as the ones from the Fujimi kit so that all four match. All of the lights work includig the trouble light on the floor.

Of course I love this one, its an altered. Nice build Darryl.

I agree Rom, create your own. Here's an overall shot of my dio where alot of stuff is scratchbuilt.

Derrick, that is so cool; the build and the donation. What's next for the workbench? Another diorama I hope.

Sounds like a good plan Chris. My schedule has loosened up a bit and I have gotten a few 'kitchen passes' from the Mrs.

Congrats Chris on the new employment opportunity. I know you've been on the hunt for some time and this has to be a relief and a de-stresser for you. Enough of the pleasantries, now back to the bench. LOL

Now come on Bill. We'd like to see your amazing talent on that steering wheel up close and personal but the pictures just aren't big enough to study. I'm sure its gorgeous but I don't know for absolute certain.

Nicely done Ed. The old time gas stations hold a special place for me as my grandfather owned and ran an old DX in SW Iowa. Sure wish I had pictures of it as it was built in the 30s or 40s. I used to hang out with him after grade school before heading home.

Master Craftsman at work here. Rom, this is off the charts and the learning curve on your brass working skills is amazing.
