  1. Stellar stuff.
  2. Holy schmolies...that is awesome Tim. I'll bet it weighs about 10 pounds. What on this build so far isn't metal?
  3. This is another epic build by the master faster builder. I don't know what blows me away more...the incredible build or the speed at which you build. Both are off the charts.
  4. Great Bill. We'll hook up then. Are you entering anything?
  5. Progressing nicely brother. Glad you're getting some bench time and getting great results.
  6. That building sure has a ton of character and your scaled rendition of it is beautiful. What an undertaking. I can appreciate your patience and dedication. Great job E!
  7. I completely agree. Add more stuff to the walls, makes it much more interesting. Here's a picture of the scratch-built overhead heater I put in my diorama.
  8. Eegads, that's gorgeous. What did you use for the metal, if I may ask?
  9. I just spoke with the head DSC guy and he said there are a few tables available. Your best bet is to go to the website (desertscaleclassic.com) and get a table or two reserved that way. If that doesn't wok out for you, give Hal or Dan a call from their numbers listed on the above flyer. Welcome to Arizona Bill. We're looking forward to meeting you so step up and introduce yourself while at the show.
  10. I can't take it....this is just too much. John, you're really killing this build with every little detail. Mad skills brother.
  11. THE moment has arrived and it didn't disappoint. Congrats, that's a milestone.
  12. Chris - you've been busy. I know it takes a great amount of time and talent to do the 3D rending stuff. Really good looking stuff you got here. Anxious for more.
  13. This is the 15th year of this great event. Model car contest with a bunch of categories plus a vendor display area. Doors open at 9am. Check out this link for more info:
  14. Pulled out the Mark Johnson 392 and set it up this morning since I can't seem to get motivated on anything else. Mark's engine is so well done. It has a few places that need a little attention. This will be my first attempt at a resin engine. Any thing I should know before I dig in?
  15. This will be fun to watch but probably not nearly as fun as it is to build. Dialed in to this one John. I'll bet it will it be ready for DSC in 22 days.
  16. OK now you're just showing off.
  17. MCM Forums - where your wishes come true.
  18. Started this afternoon using the front floorpan as a template to make a new one out of printing plate. Then my Stylus battery died so I didn't get much done, nothing picture worthy anyhow.
  19. Fantastic craftsmanship Mark. I swear this thing would fire up if any fuel got even close to it.
  20. This just keeps getting better and better, how is this possible? Defies all odds. Very nice Tim.
  21. Here's a picture without the seats so you can see better. The front floor board and the short angled piece are glued together. The back piece still has to go in through the roof. This means I'll need to glue the seats in through the roof since the back piece has to go in after the front floor board before the seats go in. I'll need to make some tabs or something so I can get them in the correct position.
  22. No, they came from Wild Hare Models, Ken Hamilton's company.
  23. OK fellas.....with alot of measuring, sanding, fitting and fits, I got the interior floor pans to fit. They were made in three pieces, I glued two of them together. I plan on using the sheet styrene I used as a template for some flat aluminum sheet. Still deciding on that. The back portion of the floor pan isn't glued to the rest of it because I don't think it will come out of the body. I glued the angled riser that follows the angle of the frame to the front floor board while they were in the car resting on the frame. Here's a few pictures.
