  1. Not much visible work done Gene. I did spend a bit of time on the turned rear wheels. I just couldn't live with the smaller diameter slicks so I went back to the ones I had previously. This caused me to need to narrow the aluminum rims with my saw, file and polish the cut edges and add a band of printing plate around the diameter of the rim since they were too small. Its much better and I'm happy with the results but need to polish some more on the cut section and clean that up a bit. Not sure how I'll address the gap between the tire and the rim from the backside. I'll come up with something. I had to remove the rear axle because I wasn't happy with the brake lines. Progress continues but all so slowly.
  2. Chris - I really don't know what to say, I've completely used up my entire vocabulary of positive adjectives on this build and the engine still needs paint. Just know that I'm watching and drooling at every post. Now I need to go drink some more water.
  3. Man that looks awesome. Maybe a bit of spillage on the floor and a few splashed on the first aid kit?
  4. Thanks for following along Gene and Tim. Tim - I have been an avid fan of yours for decades and am honored that you're following this build. I'll try to keep up the level of craftsmanship. LOL
  5. So glad to see you back on this buddy. Those tins came out better than I thought they would.
  6. Now that the holidays are over, I finally put this back on my work bench. Worked a bit on the front axle by taking the twist out of the leaf spring. Much better. Now I need to make the radius arms and thankfully, my wife got me a new soldering gun for Christmas. If you noticed, the arms have the letter 'W' in them and I've thought along I need to make these out of brass. I need to get some practice time in with the soldering gun. Stay tuned.
  7. Oh, I see you slipped in some floor mats at the entry doors. Those really look good. How did you make them?
  8. Nice one Gerald. Great save. Glad you resurrected it.
  9. I like it, looks great. The arm rests really finish it off.
  10. Nice touch Richard. I'm sure you plan on raising that bench seat when you make the tunnel cover.
  11. The Puffer progress has stalled as the busyness of the season has taken its toll on my available bench time. I was looking at it the other night and said I really need to get back on this. Thanks for asking Gene.
  12. As I said in one of the missing posts, I think the T-bird poster may be a bit too new. Maybe you could go back another 6 to 10 years to more closely match the era of the gas pumps? Everything else is perfect. So nicely done and well executed.
  13. Wow !! Your first, really?? I love the water puddles, so realistic. How were those done?
  14. Those signs do look great. Nice touch. What's next?
  15. Very nice. I like it.
  16. Gene - this little Fiat is looking so nice. You're in the home stretch and I'm looking forward to the completed build. How do you plan on doing the decals?
  17. You just can't go wrong with a Fiat altered no matter how its put together. Very interesting build on this one. I like it !!
  18. Spot on Timmy. Looking forward to seeing this on one of the tables at DSC. I'd also like to know how this ran. Bet it was a sight to see.
  19. I wouldn't have thought twice about throwing the tin work in the purple pond. Amazed at what happened. I've got more printing plate for you Chris. If you need it, just give me a shout.
  20. Those looks so much better with a bit of weathering on them. Keep it going Richard.
  21. Nice pix Ron. That top one looks really cold.
  22. Finally some heat around here. That's much better. LOL Looks great Richard. Your attention to the details is spot on.
  23. That's just genius Joe. I would also like to see this because mere words aren't enough and all of the useable words have been used throughout this entire thread. 'Explative' progress on this 'explative' build Chris. Glad to see your updates and trying to be patient for more.
  24. Wow Fred...you have a stable of quality builds. Very nice every one of them.
  25. All of those look right at home in there.
